Prince of Persia The Sands of Time is an all-time classic. People loved the story, the music and the gameplay but still, its sales was not as good as expected. So, the people at Ubisoft decided to focus on improving the gameplay so that everyone would try it. Thus, Prince of Persia Warrior Within was born. It's sales skyrocketed but it did not receive the support of critics like its predecessor did.
(How do I know it's famous? I have heard ten year old kids talking about it. This game is rated 'M' or 17+)
In this famous sequel, seven years have passed since the events of Prince of Persia Sands of Time occurred and now Prince is being chased by a monster called Dahaka, the Guardian of Timeline. According to the curse upon the Sands of Time, whoever opens the hourglass MUST die but because Prince survived, Dahaka is here to ensure that he dies. On the journey to the Island of Time to stop the Sands from ever being created, Prince must escape Dahaka and face the Empress of Time so that she may never create the sands.
The most talked about feature of the game was the new Free-form Fighting system. It added a whole new set of cool (strictly M) moves which include strangling, decapitation, slicing the enemy into two and pushing them off the cliff. The entire environment becomes a weapon as Prince can now use his environment to perform unique moves like running up the wall and then jumping to get behind the enemies who are closing in. The two weapons duel allows you to ensure that no one blindsides you and if someone is to far to be attacked directly, you can throw your side weapon at them. Also, there i an adjustable setting to set how much do you want special camera mode (forgot actual name) to take over whenever you perform a cool move. The time travel allows you to move through the island in two time periods (Present and Past) and the difference between them is horrifying and beautiful. If you can ignore the voice bug (voice plays before the scene arrives), then you will appreciate the characters and the plot too.
PROS: Cool Free-Form fighting system. Nice environment. Dual weapons + Variety of moves = FUN! Great boss battles. Good music for metal fans. Gradual progress of difficulty of opponents. Interesting puzzles. The unlockables are nice.
CONS: Is wearing short clothes by bosses a norm for the island because the female characters are practically nude. Language is offensive too. A lot of gore and blood. The voice bug is irritating. No special strategy required for the bosses. The first boss fight is a serious pain. Annoying music for metal fans. Running from Dahaka is annoying.
