Name the Quote
« on: February 24, 2012, 08:20 PM »
Thought I'd start up a new game for you STP addicts so here it is....Who said it?

Match the quote(s) with the author, title or character (or all 3!). I'll go first to get us started and tell you if you guessed correctly.

Rules:
1.)The first member to correctly guess gets to post the next quote.
2.) You may request one hint if needed.
3.) You may guess as many times as needed but only one guess per post.
4.) No hijacking my thread!! (<< you know who you are!)
5.) No cheating!

I'll go first and give you a rather easy one to get you started:

“My friends call me Wrath,” says ____. “My enemies call me Please Have Mercy. What’s your name, soldier boy?”

Now....who said it? The first to name the author, book and character correctly gets to go next!

Ok here it goes, then:

"No tea!" _______ screeched and pointed to Emmy. "Can‘t you see she's miserable? We need real drinks. I'll make caipirinhas."

Character: ___________
Book title: ___________
Author: ____________
For some reason, this is really familiar, but I'm not sure I've actually read this book, or if the memory is triggered by the No tea! sentence from somewhere else... :/

Well just risk a guess based on books you've read ;)
That's the problem. The "No tea!" is familiar, the name Emmy and caipirinhas are not. :S
Talk about, brain meltdown. :/

Ok, my turn?

"You shall learn more about me in due time," ______ said. There was a hint of frustration in his voice, and I had no idea why. But it scared me again. "That is a promise," he added, boring into my eyes. "A promise."

Who said that?Lucius

Author:Beth Fantaskey

“You're beautiful and sad," I said finally, not looking at him when I did. "Just like your eyes. You're like a song that I heard when I was a little kid but forgot I knew until I heard it again." For a long moment there was only the whirring sound of the tires on the road, and then ___ said softly, "Thank you.”

“Hey!" I turned, crossing my arms and glaring. "I was talking to him!"
______ eyed me with amusement, which just made me glare harder. "No, you were inciting him to stab you with a toothpick. Again, the difference is small, but I think it matters.”

This is a dream, I remind myself. A deeply messed-up dream, but a dream just the same. I’ve even dreamed about a cat before. “Did you bite out my tongue?”

“You seem to have it back,” the white cat says, her shadowed eyes unblinking.
