Well first if you post your email address on the net, it gets harvested by spam bots which record the email address, send spam to it and sell it to others to use for spam email.  Do NOT post your email address ever in a public forum.  That's just plain asking for spam.

Next, you seem to already have a spam problem.  If it is that bad, you have one solution.  Discard that account and create another under another name.  I'm sorry but there is no other cure for it.  Spam filters only do so much.

If it's advertising spam, there is usually an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message which will stop them from mailing you in the future.

You may also want to consider an extension like Mask Me from Abine.
You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

It generates a fake email address for sites that demand them.  It will forward emails from that fake one to you at your real one but the site never sees the real one.  If you suddenly start getting unwanted emails you can simply stop the forwarding from that email address and generate a new one.
