I am working on my ipad.  When I go to change my forum profile or read or send messages the advertising bar hijacks my ability to get into those functions and I go to the advertising website instead.  This is so frustrating.  I need to remove a logo in my profile and I need the ability to read and send messages.  Right now, i can only access messages from my email program from those that sent me a previous message.
Please excuse any spelling errors.   I have dyslexic fingers!

I have recently started a trial with a new advertising agency due to a sudden 75% fall in advertising revenue last month. Apologies for any inconvenience. But in any case, all the Ad-placements are such that they shouldn't interfere with normal website functions.

When browsing via ipad, are you using the mobile version or full version of the site? Is it possible for you to provide some screenshots where you are having trouble.
Please always feel free to PM me regarding any issues or suggestions.

I am using the full version.  The drop down menu goes on top of the advertisement and when I click on the part I want, it changes colour and it looks like it will go through, but the advertisement takes over instead.
Please excuse any spelling errors.   I have dyslexic fingers!

don't intend to hijack, but wanted to say I had some weird advertising placements while on my tablet this morning... first time I'd noticed it... and the ads would float, but then move, making it hard to figure out where to click... you should have had a lot of ad clicks this morning :)

I will consider placing the Ads above dropdown menus, main reason of placing it below dropdown menus is to generate some clicks.

Moving Ads ... can I please get a couple of screenshots so that I can find the culprits.
Please always feel free to PM me regarding any issues or suggestions.

75% fall in advertising revenue

I have recently started a trial with a new advertising agency due to a sudden 75% fall in advertising revenue last month...

If the new advertising agency was responsible for the ads that used to be on the right-hand side of the home page, I hope PTS will keep them.  I really miss those ads - lots to choose from. ;)

My signature used to inform people; clicking on the ads generates revenue for PTS.  When I had to remove graphics (due to possible malware attachments), I removed the complete signature.  No one ever commented on it and I don't know if it made a difference.
I figured possibly just about everyone had seen it by now so the message was 'out there'.
If you think it would help to increase advertising revenue, I'll be glad to put the message back.

Also, I noticed the new 'Users' and 'Chat Room' signs on the screen.  They kind of get in the way sometimes.  Just thought you would want to know. :)

There's an issue with IE10 (maybe even IE9 sometimes) with showing Ads. I have made some changes to try to fix it.

I think that comment was a good way of reminding everyone that clicking on Ads help.

I have made a change so that the new chat always start minimized, so it shouldn't be in anyone's way now.
Please always feel free to PM me regarding any issues or suggestions.

I have IE10 so that might explain it (though I was able to see the Sponsored Links ads at first and I was always able to see the AdChoices ads, until recently.  Now I can't see any of them - but just on IE.)
There's also a problem viewing the actual Sponsored Links ads in Google Chrome.  Please see my post at: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Does PTS get money when we open a webpage with the ads on it or only when we click on them?

The 'Users' and 'Chat Room' buttons look better tucked away in the lower right-hand corner - thank you.
Is it possible for them to only appear on the home page or possibly as a link we can click on instead of a 'pop-up' button?

Will fix signature.  ;D

Sponsored Links
« Reply #9 on: September 02, 2013, 10:51 PM »
Still can't see those Sponsored Links on either IE or the Google Chrome browser. (I can't see any ads on IE - but then it is IE! :D) I can't even see the emoticons, format buttons, etc. while I'm typing this - but just on IE.
Can the Sponsored Links be seen on any browser?  (I can install an additional browser on my computer but as they increase memory usage, etc., I only like to install them for a good cause - like generating revenue for PTS. ;) )

If Sponsored Links are no longer available, I'll adjust my signature.

IE is still a big pain ... although few more things should be working in IE now.

Ads and site is fully compatible with chrome and firefox. I would suggest you to use chrome, it's lightweight, fast and much much much better than IE in every way.
Please always feel free to PM me regarding any issues or suggestions.
