Skyrim
« on: January 12, 2012, 08:19 PM »
Anyone else playing? It's so utterly and entirely awesome! And that's coming from a guy that doesn't typically like RPG's (I HATE World of Warcraft =P).

I'ma start the discussion with a couple simple questions:

What class(es) are you playing? What's your favorite found location so far? Are you good or evil?  Favorite weapon... etc...

Just got to level 50! Yay!
Sadly, the rest of the game seems to level up with you, so 'though the numbers go up, the game still feels pretty much exactly the same as it did when I was level 10.  I was hoping to be all-powerful by this point =P

Just found Blackreach though.  Holy giant cavern, Batman!  It's like an entire game down there, easily big enough to stand on it's own.  Hard to believe so much of skyrim sits above it. ....

Eh, I'm a mage, through and through!
Favorite weapon, uh, my spells? :P I rarely use my fateful, little dagger. Only when I'm collecting souls.
And hm, on this character I'm not 50 yet, but er, I had to raise my difficulty because monsters were simply too easy for me. :/
No special location so far. :S
I've explored quite a chunk of Skyrim, but no place had made me want to ooh and aahh over it. :S
And, I'm an RPG fan, like Aderovgaltis. :D

Level 50 High Elf Mage Daedric armor user with specialization in One-hand melee and Destruction magic Fireball. I'm quite good with archery and stealth too. I just haven't put much attention and skill points with pickpocketing, alteration etc. Just finished the main quest about 2 weeks ago and I chose to side with the Stormcloaks. I'm done with most quests except the Thieves Guild because I lack the necessary skills. There's no morality/karma involved in your game decisions but I like playing the good guy so I mostly help people. I decided not to finish the Ebony Blade quest just because I don't want to kill people who trusts me. Can't also do the Blades quest because of Paarthurnax.

No favorite location, I just like every place that is lush and green.

Favorite weapon is daedric sword enchanted with fire damage.

I collect Centurion Dynamo cores.

I just wrapped up my last couple of main game achievements last night to prepare for the DLC after a long break.  (Finishing off Dark Brotherhood,  Daedric Artifacts)  I'm so annoyed now that the Kinect voice commands weren't in at launch!  It's so nice to just say Quick Map - Quest/Quick Map -City or Equip Bow/Equip Dual Weapons, or just say whatever shout I want without having to first hotkey it.

I have yet to play Skyrim, but I did buy the 5th anniversary edition of Oblivion last year and played for over 120 hours.  I'm holding out for a Game of the Year edition or something like it.  Games like this always have some pretty awesome DLC, and I can bide my time, usually, until an edition comes out where I can get the whole package for cheaper than the original cost of the game.

I bought Skyrim a while back and have yet to get back to it. My xbox drive is stuck and it takes a card to open it. It's really sad that I just don't feel like playing my xbox anymore cuz I don't want to fight with the disk drive. I did buy Dawnguard though and as soon as we get the money, I'm getting me a new xbox! I will be lost in Skyrim.

Hawke: "With a name like that, he's sure to go MUHAHA at some point, I'm sure of it."
