I update calibre every week, never needed to do that. Is it the old package or are they new ones? Thanks for the help
Probably a new package. I think Alf's version is 6.0.9 now. Personally, I try NOT to update Calibre too often, because many times the updated Calibre requires an update to the DRM tools - and they're a PITA to update (IMO - I'm sure it's easy for others)... so, I only update Calibre when I've got the time to update the Tools too...
Just wanted to let you know - I updated to V2.10 (32bit ) todayI retained my existing version 64 bit just in case I encountered problems. (paranoia abounds )I imported files from Amazon - no problems, no drm issues (I had not at this stage updated the tools)Then I updated the tools 6.0.9 - very simple 1 minute event !- one file fits all and it automatically deletes the old plugins (or it did for me at any rate) despite the blurb in the txt doc sayingThis calibre plugin replaces all previous DRM removal plugins. When you install this plugin, the older separate plugins should be removed. This plugin will remove the DRM from Amazon Kindle ebooks (Mobi, KF8, Topaz and Print Replica), Mobipocket, Adobe Digital Edition ePubs (including Sony and Kobo ePubs), Barnes and Noble ePubs, Adobe Digital Edition PDFs, and Fictionwise eReader ebooks. So Katy - you will not need the "time"
Tina - I'm just getting around to updating, and had a question. You didn't have to copy any PIDs or codes for the DRM, right? The new plugin automatically did that for you?
