Author Topic: Book Recommendations for Writing/Writing anxiety/Writer's block?  (Read 8193 times)

Offline Stairlight ✈

Looking for books on market writing, or books that deal with writing anxiety. I have a problem with my writing sounding "too academic" and would like to learn how to make it more interesting.

Any recommendations would be greatly welcome. Thanks!

Writing.com is amazing when it comes to helping new authors write well or expand their writing. I’ve taken quite a few workshops on the website.

Academic, so you show rather than tell?

It's not a book, but I wholeheartedly recommend Brandon Sanderson's podcast Writing Excuses. Brandon Sanderson is not only a brilliant writer, but he's also breaking down writing and examining it like no one else imo.
