Fifty shades of grey EL Elliot
« on: April 01, 2012, 05:41 PM »
I have just finished reading the trilogy of Fifty Shades of grey and I must say it is maybe the best I have read in a long time . The characters are beautifully presented , and you are able to get into their emotions and feel as they do :)
The story is WOW ... It touches bdsm but in a way it brings a new light into the matter  ... It also gives a lot of ideas to spice up our daily life :) I would recommend it to every woman , it will open your heart and open your mind as well ;) and why not to men as well so they can learn some new tricks :)
After reading these books there was nothing I tried that kept my interest so far :)
Please tell me your opinion too
Hugs all , be happy :)

Just finished the Fifty Shades trilogy. I am not sure what all the fuss is about. I thought the series was very romantic. I was reminded less of Twilight and more of Jane Eyre with graphic contemporary elements. I get the impression that most traditional media outlets are discussing this series without actually reading it.

I am not sure that I would ever want to read this stuff again. (The most disturbing elements are the realistic depictions of the hero's troubled childhood and the resulting damage.) But while I was in the midst of the story, I couldn't put it down or start anything else.

This is the most overrated book and didn't live up to my expectations. Good read for those who are looking for lots of po*n. The story starts beautifully but eventually as it progresses leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

I've finished reading the trilogy recently and I LOVED IT!! :P I literally couldn't put it down! It was recommended on the sidebars and I'm really glad I gave it a shot ;D Sigh, can't believe there will be no more sequels. :'(  I really loved the characters. I have re-read it a few times since I finished ;D

I have just finished the second book.I usually read historical romance novels...but every now and then I step out to read something different.I sorta compaire it to Twlight for adults.I really like both characters.I even find myself skipping the sex scenes just to get to the next dialoge between the two.So I have read both books in over a day and a half.I will probably start reading Fifty Shades Freed in a little bit.But this book as been a winner for me.

I love Christian Grey and Ana! It was my first time reading an erotic novel lol and im not regretting it. This trilogy is worth recommending to all my friends! I just hope the paperback or the hqrdbound will be released as soon as possible here in our country.

Anyway, i saw the trilogys page on amazon.. Unfortunately the ratings went down due to some people who disagree with us :(

Hey i read Fifty Shades  of Grey as well.  Liked it very much.  I loved the relationship between the hero and heroine.  Have not found any other books like Fifty as yet.  Loved how Christian overcame some of the dark side of his nature because of the love he found.

I loved all 3 of them. I actually have read them twice and I am finding things I missed somehow the first time around. Ana's and Christian's story made me laugh and cry along with them. I will agree with some that it was not the best written, but I believe the story was great besides it flaws. My heart went out to Christian he seemed to be such a lost soul. His past was so heart breaking.Well that's my opinion on the books.  :)

I enjoyed this story as well,  I think the emails between Christian and Ana were what made the story. I enjoyed  Bared to you by Sylvia Day much more though.

I liked these books too. Their story made me feel giddy, even minus the sex scenes. Yes, giddy-for-your-highschool-crush-kind of giddy. Maybe its because prior to reading 50 shades I was waaay into fantasy/morbid books ( Song of Ice and Fire, Dexter etc). Quite a jump ey? blame goodreads.

I've just finished listening to the audio versions and I have to say I definitely enjoyed. Lots of erotica but nicely done, not in the least bit crude, and there is a story to it all that draws you in and makes you laugh with them and cry with them.  I woud love to hear more of Christians thoughts though, there was about an hours worth at the end of the 3rd book but it stops with their meeting in the hardware store.  Would like to hear more of that.  Totally agree with another review on here, this and it's like should be compulsory reading for men, they might learn something.  :-*

Hello Everyone,  this is my first time posting and I am not sure why it has takin me so long to post any comment.  I have always found wonderful reccomendations on book and stand alone books.  So THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who has not shared their wonderful input.

Now that I have expressed my gratitude let me just say that I absolutely loved the Fifty Series.  It is extremely rare to find a book, let alone a series that has pulled me into one of the characters.  I was sad when I realized I was done reading all the books.  However, I need to know what it just me or did anyone else love the emails between them as much as I did?

I thought it was quite interesting. I didn't really know what to expect, but I would've liked to read more from Christian's perspective. I like to see what the two characters are thinking.
