Author Topic: Kathryn Casey - Possessed: The Infamous Texas Stiletto Murder  (Read 7106 times)

Possessed by Kathryn Casey was an interesting read.  I don't normally read true crime books, because life is scary enough.  However, the setting is in the city where I live and the murder happened in this century, so I thought I'd give it a go before I passed the book on to my daughter, who does like to read true crime.

It's a twisted tale, not only because the murder weapon was a stiletto shoe, but also because it was a woman abusing a man and eventually killing him.

The author does a good job providing insight into the people involved, from the perpetrator and victim, to their friends, and even the lawyers handling the case.  There's some detail that difficult to stomach, but it is, after all, a murder.  The author spelled out the events in an easy to follow manner.

All in all, if I decide to read more true crime set in Texas, I will probably turn to Kathryn Casey first.
