Review Your BOOKS HERE!
« on: March 19, 2013, 01:27 PM »
REVIEW IT HERE!!!
Have a book that was just incredible that you want to tell the whole world about?! Maybe you thought it was terrible and want to warn everyone away from it!

Well here is your chance to let it out! Don't hold back on what you thought we really want to know.

We want this to be a place to discuss books, to plan on reading books together, to talk about the writers, and or anything and everything about books!

AUTHORS if you would like to have your book reviewed please add it here with a link to where we can find it! I am going to try and read every book someone adds to this thread. (Be kind to me)

When Posting about a book Please CHANGE THE SUBJECT LINE to the name and Author of the book.

I am starting the thread out with a book we are starting this Friday!

Book of the Week = BoTW
How to Lead a Life of Crime by Kirsten Miller  - 3/22

Review: Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
« Reply #101 on: April 11, 2013, 10:49 AM »
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare  :star: :star: :star:
Well, to begin with, I would point out that I liked Clockwork Angel but absolutely loved Clockwork Prince. I mean, a love triangle bound to hurt everyone involved (and present in the story) would definitely get attention because as Will says, "Requited love is good but it doesn't make much of a ballad." (Or something. I am not exactly sure of the wording.) Here, ballad can be safely replaced with story.
The book wrapped up all the major plot points brought to us from the other two books so there are no loose ends. Several scenes, including the epilogue, are written very well. Though I did feel a little cheated at the strange attempt to satisfy both Team Will and Team Jem fans, the book was almost perfect but I have to say, Clockwork Prince is definitely the best of the three.

I can't do love triangles. I always want to kill 2 of the characters!

Ive been putting this book off caz ive
forgotten wat happened in the last book, now
I have to go back and summarize  ::) .
But I agree with Red, I hate love triangles too,
I usually cant pick 1 person for the girl to be with (unless one's
a total ass, which usually isnt the case). I say pick both so
no ones feelings get hurt=
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Review: Mathilda Super Witch by Kristen Ashley
« Reply #106 on: April 12, 2013, 05:59 AM »
Finished Mathilda Super Witch by Kristen Ashley i liked it, it was really funny but, i didn't like how it was written like a diary and at the end i was a little confused i couldn't figure out why everything was happening and i have to say it's a little wierd to read a book by KA without an epilogue.

Review: (Drew + Fable, #1 & #2)

One Week Girlfriend (Drew + Fable, #1) and Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable #2) by Monica Murphy

Well I don't know how to write a review for this. I like the story and the concept. I just hate how one character is always freaking perfect. I understand being there for someone and all but Fable was just to perfect. Definitely has a dark side to it. I just can't put my finger on what wasn't there for me.

Nice try Butch! and thanks for the rec...

After the Rain (The Callahans #1) by Jennifer Hayden  :star: :star: :star:

This book was a nice read. The characters were well written and it wasn't an overnight I fell in love story. (which I personally like). You got to struggle with the couple as they came to turns with there feelings and their relationship.

Love Irresistibly (FBI / US Attorney #4) by Julie James  :star: :star: :star: :star:

Finally a book I really liked. I loved the writing style and the sarcasm of the characters. I LOVE how it wasn't an overnight I fell in love story. No action, lots of smut, no instant love, plenty of lust, and no stupid rash decisions, just a nice story! (Yes even I need a nice love story every now and then)

See Butch I don't need action and death to like a book!

Review: Black Dagger Brotherhood #1-5 by J.R. Ward

Black Dagger Brotherhood #1-5 So  :star: :star: :star: .5

I started with the first one and just kept going :P Favorite one so far is Zsadist's book followed by Vishous  ^-^ Least favorite is Butch's book but because of Marissa not Butch. Really didn't like Marissa. After reading about strongwilled females like Beth, Mary, and Bella, Marissa was just one huge dissapointment. Can't wait to read John's book :)
