One Grave at a Time  :star: :star:

The 2 stars are for the parts i read, halfway through i was skimming alot, i like Bone but i couldn't take any more of Cat looking at his chiseled cheekbones and dark brows and his luminous skin that seems to highlight against almost everything he wears, maybe it was my fault, i shouldn't have read the books back to back.

Isn't anyone reading anything  :o

Okay so i read Evenfall (InThe Company of Shadow#1) by Sonny and Ais  :star: :star: :star: :star: i loved it,  there is a lot of action of suspence of drama of frustration of hotness  there is a lot of everything  :D

What Really Happened in Peru  :star: :star: i still don't know what really happened in Peru  :wtf: it's like Cassandra Clare kept building up the mystery of what banned Mangus from Peru but, couldn't come up with something outrageous enough to satisfy the readers, it was very disappointing.

Now i'm reading book the second book in (In The Company of Shadows) Afterimage

The Apprentice - Rizzoli & Isles #2 - Tess Gerritsen

The Apprentice - Rizzoli & Isles #2 - Tess Gerritsen
:star: :star: :star: 0.5

I liked this one. The story and the characters were fleshed out just as well as in the first one. And Dr. Maura Isles made her entry in the series as well. The Apprentice marks return of The Surgeon as well, though mostly he exists in the story to create a feeling of terror through Jane Rizzoli. She is well-depicted as still suffering from PTSD as a result of the events near the end of The Surgeon. And this time, I suppose, we can say that we really are done with him. He will haunt Rizzoli but he won't physically return... at least he hasn't yet till book 9. Two main characters Catherine Cordell and Detective Moore do not physically appear in the story but you don't really miss their absences. A new introduced character is FBI Special Agent Gabriel Dean, whom Jane is attracted to, who is overshadowing her investigation for an initially unknown reason and believes she needs to quit the case because she is too obsessed with The Surgeon. The climax lasts less than a minute truly but is well scripted. Not excellent, though. Just good. Also we get introduced to Dr. Joyce O'Donnell, a character that appears disturbed. And my personal opinion? She is.

Another great page-turner by the author to keep us at the edge of our seats as we return to the crime-infested Boston of the series.

The Sinner (Rizzoli & Isles, #3) by Tess Gerritsen

The Sinner (Rizzoli & Isles, #3) by Tess Gerritsen
 :star: :star: :star: 0.5

Wow, I never saw that end coming. Another book into the Rizzoli & Isles series, this one deals with the murder of a nun and attempted murder of another. The title is soon attached to one of the victims and as things keep going on, twists and turns keep occurring that will keep the reader guessing about the motive and means. Also, like the last one, this one focusing on establishing a main protagonist character for the series, Dr. Maura Isles. We learn a lot about her past and her relationships (though her past is even more explored in the next book). To be honest, I didn't want her to have a happy ending just yet. Dt. Moore got his in book 1, Jane (somewhat) got hers in book 2 and it would have been a bit cliched to give Maura in book 3 already. But thankfully it doesn't steal all the spotlight. And it establishes Dr. Isles, the 'queen of the dead', in a way that makes the reader like her for having her own story in the book, not despise her for it.
But the attack on the nuns isn't the only thing. Two more murders occur during the investigation with strange situations related to them as well. And it is a task for Det. Rizzoli to solve them, while also dealing with her own personal issues. Another well-written book with realistic character, the Sinner will provide the readers a mystery that they won't forget even after putting the book down. And it is filled with just the right amount of technical stuff that won't make you sleep or make you feel as if it was rushed.

And thankfully, this time the case is in winter season instead of the normal summer like the last two books.

Body Double (Rizzoli & Isles, #4) by Tess Gerritsen
:star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Follow my advice and read it without reading the summary. While The Sinner, book 3, dealt with Maura's recent life, this book deals with her birth and her real parents. Dr. Isles returns home from her job only to find her place swarming with cops and neighbors, all of who look at her in shock. The reason? There is a doppelganger of her sitting in a car outside her house with a bullet inside.
And so we start on a journey to uncover Maura's history and the truth of her parents, only for the truth that comes out to shock us all. Filled with the twists and turns just like her other books, the author has once again made sure that we won't forget the journey we take with these two real-like characters anytime soon as we go on a journey to solve cold cases that will just make Maura's view of herself change forever. After all, who do you turn to when your own family comes hunting?
Personally, my second favorite book of the series (I will get to the best soon enough.)

Afterimage (In The Company of Shadows #2) By Sonny & Ais  :star: :star: :star:

I was wavering between 3.5 or 4 stars i loved the book, there were moments when i was on the edge holding my breath waiting to see what happened and there were moments when i was just reading, there were parts i was infuriated and frustrated with everything maybe i wasn't happy with direction the book was going or maybe i wasn't satisfied with the ending, i don't know, but when i finished it and i couldn't give it more than 3 stars.

I really hope they end up writing more about Sin and Boyd  in the future. ^-^ Santino is writing the one about Adam and Gordon, and there are also some chapter about the early life of Emilio, which I haven't read yet cause I would probably get pissed since it's not finished lol.

One Sweet Ride, by Jaci Burton

(an emotional :o review)

You know? I have this flaw, I can't leave a book unfinished. And sometimes this is a trial let me tell you.
Case in point: I have just finished "One sweet ride", and it was one of those times. Uhm, yeah.

The dialogs are so politically correct, so perfectly timed, everyone acts so polite and adult, you can't posibly relate to those people. The "conflicts" are so cliché you won't believe it, and the sex scenes are flat and devoid of feeling.

I kept turning the pages waiting for something to happen... uh, nope. Just the expected cliches.

I am really sorry, I found this one simply exasperating.

(By the way the cover is spectacular!)

I haven't read One Sweet Ride yet but judging by the last book in the series i understand u completley, this series started out great but it's time to end it and begin something new, it's been dragged out beyond it's limit.

Sins and Needles (The Artists Trilogy #1) by Karina Halle  :star: :star: :star:

It was nice the characters are interesting and hold promise, really enjoyed it.

On Every Street (The Artists Trilogy #0.5) by  Karina Halle :star: :star:

It's not that it was bad but it didn't add anything to what i already read in Sins and Needles.

Bared to You (Crossfire #1) by Sylvia Day   :star: :star:

It's not that it wasn't good actually it was it was written nicely but, there was nothing new in it, the characters are the same as every other book that deals with the same topic, the same situations, there was nothing original.

Entwined in You( Crossfire #3)  by Sylvia Day  :star:

This series was a disappointment, this trilogy was made from a stroy that could have been written and written well in one book, but it was stretched into a trilogy and then i found out that there will be 2 others book coming out  :o :wtf: what will be written in them? Nothing happens in these books, it's the same situations, the same reactions and the same confusion ( things come up and get solved before u get get to understand what is going on).
