Review Your BOOKS HERE!
« on: March 19, 2013, 01:27 PM »
REVIEW IT HERE!!!
Have a book that was just incredible that you want to tell the whole world about?! Maybe you thought it was terrible and want to warn everyone away from it!

Well here is your chance to let it out! Don't hold back on what you thought we really want to know.

We want this to be a place to discuss books, to plan on reading books together, to talk about the writers, and or anything and everything about books!

AUTHORS if you would like to have your book reviewed please add it here with a link to where we can find it! I am going to try and read every book someone adds to this thread. (Be kind to me)

When Posting about a book Please CHANGE THE SUBJECT LINE to the name and Author of the book.

I am starting the thread out with a book we are starting this Friday!

Book of the Week = BoTW

How to Lead a Life of Crime by Kirsten Miller

A meth dealer. A prostitute. A serial killer.

Anywhere else, they’d be vermin. At the Mandel Academy, they’re called prodigies. The most exclusive school in New York City has been training young criminals for over a century. Only the most ruthless students are allowed to graduate. The rest disappear.

Flick, a teenage pickpocket, has risen to the top of his class. But then Mandel recruits a fierce new competitor who also happens to be Flick’s old flame. They’ve been told only one of them will make it out of the Mandel Academy. Will they find a way to save each other—or will the school destroy them both?

Review: Good Girls Don't by Victoria Dahl   I give this  :star: :star: :star:

This was a nice little read. I liked the story. I liked how Tessa and Luke didn't fall instantly in love. I liked how they struggled to get over their differences and find a way back to each other. It was more realistic than most love stories.

Really I am surprised because everyone loves her other series. I have read a few of her books and always liked them. Maybe she needs to move off of Highlanders for a bit?

I'm a big fan of her too so, I don't know maybe it's just me  ::) but, so far this series is very flat and tasteless especially if u compare it with the McCabe trilogy which i absolutely loved

I started it and am liking it so far. Its got a good plot and has me hooked. I like the dynamic the main character flick has with his brother and Joi.

How to Lead a Life of Crime by Kirsten Miller  0 starts!

OK I am sorry But this book is going in my, "Why Did I Try To Read This" file. I tried really hard to read this. I tried several times and several more times but I couldn't get into it. I don't know if it is the authors inability to draw me in or the story itself is a toss up. There was nothing in the writing that kept me wanting to read. The was nothing in the story that kept me wanting to read on. I'm not sure if the author got so caught up in his wanting to keep you off balance and guessing that he lost sight of actually keeping you interested.

My advise is READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

TOXIC (BETTER THAN YOU) BY RAQUEL VALLDEPERAS   :star: :star: :star: :star:

Finally a book I didn't want to stop reading until I was finished! This book is not a lovey dovey happy story. It takes you on a ride to the dark side of child abuse, drug abuse, and sexual abuse. Lo brings you on a ride that has you facing the darker side of life and losing. Lo gives you a glimpse into the psyche of a user and the struggles within themselves that they face. If you are wanting to try a different kind of book, one that moves you in a different way, I would definitely recommend this book to read.
