"Bridgerton" is tooted as "a romantic drama series based on the novel that’s a mix between Downton Abby, a Disney Princess movie and The Crown".

The official synopsis reads: “From the glittering ballrooms of Mayfair to the aristocratic palaces of Park Lane and beyond, the series unveils a seductive, sumptuous world replete with intricate rules and dramatic power struggles, where no one is truly ever on steady ground.

“At the heart of the show is the powerful Bridgerton family. Comprising eight close-knit siblings, this funny, witty, daring and clever group must navigate the upper ten thousand’s marriage mart in search of romance, adventure and love.”

The first series will be released on Christmas Day, 2020. Season 2 is being in development and scheduled for 2021 release.

I love this series, so I'm definitely looking forward to the Netflix series. While I expect that Netflix will take liberties with the scripts, I really hope that they don't ruin the characters. :::fingers crossed:::

I am looking forward to it .. I am sure it will be changed some. I love the fact Shonda Rimes is involved. So heres hoping its good. I watched Virgin River and enjoyed and yes it strayed from the books but I still enjoyed.
