Name this book....

The book takes place in CA. The h (I think Gwen is her name) moves from New York to CA with her best friend after the h's boyfriend beats her up.  The h is originally from Australia, she has a brother in the military and they are very close.  Anyway, the two friends open up a clothing store together. The H is in an MC and obviously wants the h. Anyway, they get together, drama happens, the h is seen hugging another an and H gets pissed (stupid alpha male bs) turns out the guy getting hugged is the h's gay friend from NY.  Someone dies and the h goes back to Australia and the H wants to go with her but he can't because he has a record. There is some sort of turf war with another MC or gang (name is spiders or something to do with spiders).   Drama, drama, drama annnnnnd they kiss and make up.  I'm pretty sure there are 3 books in this series...maybe 4. The last one is about a woman and her daughter running from an abusive ex (mafia or crime family) The woman runs a hotel and the daughter wants to be a singer, the mom hooks up with the one guy in the MC that doesn't want a relationship with anyone because the love of his life was killed years ago by the same rival gang from the first book.

Any idea what this book is called?

Hi Guys.  Now I need help please.

The H and h are in a relationship, possibly living together. The H's ex-wife lives across the street with his two sons. The Ex-wife is always walking in to the H's house uninvited. In one scene the ex walks in and interrupts the H and h on the couch. The excuse being she was out of milk. Another scene I remember is the h is waiting for the H to come home and she sees him across the street through the window of the ex's house. The ex was having a party and invited the H. The h calls the H and sees him look at the phone and reject the call. The h has had enough and leaves to go to her friends house.

Help needed!!

Forgive the synopsis because I can't remember too many details or the accuracy but here goes. So she falls in love with this guy who I believe lives a wealthy lifestyle i.e. nice place good job(?) He disappears sometimes I think and shows back days later...maybe  :-\ I think she ends up finding him and he lives two different lives BUT he does not know it. I think his family hides it from him. She shows up in his other life either pregnant or with a baby. I do remember him having a girl in his other life. Sorry to be so vague    :-[ :-[

Heroine: young and innocent. Moves to New York City. Stay with model friend of the hero. Heroine doesn't know. They travel a lot. I remember Russia in winter.
Hero: very rich. Takes care of heroine. Has secrets. Not sure if his name is Nathaniel?

Thanks for taking the time to (try to) help me.

Harlequin book - help!
« Reply #429 on: March 19, 2017, 06:54 PM »
Hi all,

I need help locating this book.

I read it five, six years ago and it might have been a bit older than that. It's a Harlequin book, and I bought it in a Duet book.

The story goes like this:
h (her name is Bren, can't remember if it's Brenna or Brenda) has been in love with her brother's best friend for years. They work together in the advertising department of a company. He has a girlfriend, Genevieve or something like that. Can't remember his name. Anyways, his girlfriend is very high-maintenance and the h doesn't like her.

The h's brother has a fiancee, and the h asks her how she got him to commit, apparently he was a loose cannon. The fiancee gives h a book with tips on how to get your guy.

So h and H go to a work conference in Las Vegas. And she starts following the tips on the book. She's dressing sexier and more girly. She's showing off her looks, and acting differently around him. They go to like a medieval dinner I think.
They are advertising toothpaste at the conference and they come up with the idea to kiss each other to prove that you still have fresh breath after eating with this toothpaste.
They start pretending they are engaged and kissing each other more and more. Then, his girlfriend comes out to Vegas and the h is hurt and mad. He uses the excuse that he has a headache to avoid sleeping with the girlfriend and they break up.
I know they end up together, but cannot remember exactly how it happened. In the epilogue, they were married and expecting a baby.

Thanks!!

Searching for a Histoical Romance
« Reply #430 on: April 01, 2017, 05:36 AM »
Hoping someone might recognize this historical romance

- h is a scandalous beauty (I think her name is Lilith) and H is a titled relatively conservative man
- h's sister is set to get engaged to the H
- h realizes and does everything in her power to stop it, including strap H to a bed and leave  him there so her sister can escape to elope
- h is desperate for funds because while in Italy she fell in love with a count and became pregnant, he kidnapped her child and has been holding her ran some for years. She goes to a gaming hall owned by a friend to try to gamble for money.
- H, who is falling in love with the h, learns and wants to her her. Eventually they track down her daughter (learning that a bow street runner has been holding her captive along with h!s ex-lover, the Italian count)

Super dramatic, but it was a great read that I'd love to track down again...

Side note if it helps, this is part of a series and one of the other novels is about the friend who owns the gaming hall/gentlemans club. In this story he still has a thick cockney accent but by the time he gets his novel he has learned refined English.

Super dramatic, but it was a great read that I'd love to track down again...

Ok hope I have enough info so you can help me.

Book was about 3 friends 2 girls and a guy, the one girl had a heart condition. She moved in with her grandmom because her parents tried to keep her from living her life and going to a reg school.
Her friends don't know about her heart.  At the end she is getting ready to go into the hospital for treatment. I think she may have an accident and doesn't make it.
I know I am not much help but hopefully someone will know what I am talking about

I have forgotten the title of this book but if anybody knows which book it is I would really appreciate it :)

It's about the h who I think reads the diary of her dead sister and blames the sisters bf (H) for her death. She wants revenge and seduces the H and ends up falling for him. I think the H is some kind of criminal but can't remember.
It is a series book. I only read the first book which ends with the h finding out she is pregnant.

I apologize in advance for the lack of detail. The main detail I remember is that as she crosses a bridge she leaves a coin to the "monster" that lives underneath the bridge. She is one of the few who make this offering. I remember she does some work for a guy that owns a pawn shop but not sure what kind..maybe a thief? I think that there are different families who run the city. And that's about all I got  :sign0085: :(

I wonder if it's The Secret Soldier by Jennifer Morey?

I Googled "harlequin, sam, farsi" and it was the first thing that came up (an excerpt from the book)

Here's the Goodreads summary:
"The powerful stranger broke down the door and saved Sabine O'Clery from the terrorists holding her hostage. But her secretive hero was forbidden from revealing his identity. Until enemy fire forced them to crash-land....

Of all the covert military missions, being stranded on a Greek island with a beautiful woman is one that Cullen McQueen never imagined. But their stay in paradise was all too fleeting. He had to take Sabine back to America, or risk blowing his cover and losing everything he'd fought for. Yet memories of one passion-filled night haunted him...and when danger followed Sabine home, the stealth soldier knew he would break all the rules to keep her safe forever."

Yes, this is the books title thank you so much!

Hi!

Can anyone help me find the title of this book?

This is actually a series. An adult romance with supernatural themed.

I think the first book book is about an ancient one. I'm not sure what kind of supernatural being he is but his wife died a long time ago with their child in her womb. Although he had other children with her, they all perished in the present day except for one and he is fully grown. His wife is now reincarnated with no memories at the beginning I think. The wife is a priestess or a witch who was the leader of her kind. She and her followers sacrificed their lives to save the mortals if I'm not mistaken. From what I remembered of their background, their gods were someone not of their world but mated with a fey or some earth goddess in their world millions of years ago. Their bloodlines divided into three if I'm not mistaken and one of their lineage is evil. The heroine cast a spell to attract ladies of her kind and to provide protection in exchange they have to participate in being match with warriors like her husband (the hero). They would pick the women by draw lots and there would be a rotation that is held monthly. The women can choose to mate or not (but there is a spell that supposedly can pick there match). However, if they rejected once, then they only one more chance to say yes if there names get pick again.

Not sure how the endings goes but that's all I remembered from the story.

I'd appreciate your help.
