Anyone know this book?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a book that I've read a few times. It's starts with the H and h engaged, the Hs father wants the H to date a woman he chose, and is constantly pushing this woman at the H. He doesn't help by going to work parties on his own and lying about this woman being there. The h has had enough and leaves him. She returns a little later to attend the fathers funeral where she is going to tell the H she is either pregnant or had the baby. She doesn't tell him as I think the other woman is there. Later on the H discovers that he's a father and starts custody proceedings. The Hs friends push him to take full custody but he has a change of heart. I think the little child has a thing for Elmo and the H and h throw an Elmo themed birthday party for him

Hi! I'm looking for a children/teen book that I read when I was younger that I'd like to re-read :)

All I remember is part of the plot line of course...no useful title or author  :P

So to start two teenagers (boy and girl, cousins maybe? friends) find a stone/rock in an abandoned quarry after or during a thunderstorm. (The stone glows?, something to do with lightning maybe?) ....I think they got some powers or something but I'm hazy on this part,

....but while they're on a plane it crashes except they wake up in a different world (fantasy/medieval with elves, dwarves, magic) they meet a young man who was an apprentice or slave to a wizard and was cursed with green? skin. They have to help save the world or something... at the end they can travel back to their world (during the book they met at a forge made of meteorite i think and after some magic they are informed that they could get home but decade(s) will have passed in their world, despite less than a year passing in the fantasy world...

and at the end they wake up in the farmers field the plane crashed in but decades later and the parents/aunt had still stayed by the phone waiting for news of them....

I thought the book was called something like touchstone, lightning stone, thunder stone, but no luck finding it. I think its definitely earlier than the 2010s, but beyond that, no idea about author etc!

I would mention I live in Ireland and I read it in english. My brother has no recollection of it. I think I read it in end primary school or beginning secondary school so could even be before 2005-ish?

Hope this helps! Please help. It is driving me nuts, I know I didn't make this up or dream it!  :D

[FOUND] Name that book: Heroine is an Opera Singer
« Reply #483 on: February 11, 2019, 09:51 AM »
I'm looking for a book where the heroine has a beautiful singing voice suited for opera but, due to some weird quirk of hers (or some trauma as a child), she can only sing inside a closet/wardrobe. She eventually becomes a famous opera singer. I believe it's a contemporary romance but I'm not sure.

I hope someone knows this book because I would like to reread it and I remember that I enjoyed it immensely!

Thank you in advance!

Forgot the name of the book - help wanted
« Reply #486 on: March 09, 2019, 03:58 AM »
Hi all!

Does anyone remember the name of this historical romance? It is in regency England. The heroine is uncommonly beautiful, worked as a governess, but constantly mistreated and approached to become mistress/whore. She hated it, that she almost deliberately wanted to scar her face.

The hero is an earl, one of the pursuing man. The heroine turned down his offer of course. A few years later, the heroine was abducted and auctioned at brothel. The hero (who kept track of her for years) bought her. He abducted her and sort of forced her to be his mistress.

The heroine ran away, miscarried (pregnant with the hero's child). They met after a few years, and rekindled their relationship.

Anyone remember? Thanks in advance!

Can’t remember a book title. Please help!

Hi, I’m looking for a mills&boon book that I’m pretty certain is by Lynne Graham but none of the synopses for books on her author page are ringing a bell.

The book is about a married couple who have marital problems and decide to take a break. While they’re on their break he sleeps with someone else and gets them pregnant. I think the baby mama dies or decides she doesn’t want the baby and he gets custody. The book is about him and the wife trying to get back together and raise the baby. The baby has eczema.

Like I said I’m almost sure it’s by Lynne Graham but I could be wrong. If you remember this book please tell me the title and link me to it if it’s on this website.

Thanks!

Could it be The Volakis Vow series? The books are Bride for Real and The Marriage Betrayal. I remember them breaking up and him having a sickly child with another woman.

A few months or years, the h wanted a divorce so went to the place where the H works, i think its someplace in amazon, where there are lots of mosquitoes. The h got sick there so the H brought her home. The H is from a rich family that has taffy business i think. Hope someone remembers. Thanks in advance

Looking for a book
looking for a book I read a while ago. I am going to try to explain the plot.
It was about this woman that as a child she was chosen to go to school on a alien planet because she was a telepathic genius but while she was there the females were kidnapped and their eggs were stolen. She gets older and joins a superhero group falls in love with another hero and the aliens that kidnapped her come to invade Earth and the leader looks like her father. But it turns out it’s her son, the aliens used her eggs to genetically modify him until a super solider.

Help me out 🙏🏽

Ok need some help. Looking for a series about a group of soldiers that lose half of them and the ghosts come back to complete tasks. First one is about a ghost brother trying to get his friend to help his sister who has a stalker. Next ghost is trying to get his friend to save his baby and his wife is also killed by the same group that killed them. I just remember the first two stories. They also buy a ranch and get cows and horses for it.

Any help would be great. Thank you in advance. Have a great day!!

Re: Did you Forget a Book Title? - Heroine is a warrior

Help on book title -

So I believe the book is part of a fantasy fiction series and has something to do with crown in the title (i think!). The female protagonist is a warrior from a nomadic nation. Her mother is the leader. As part of a treaty or some agreement, she goes to another more technologically advanced nation as an ambassador with a few of her team. There she meets with the king and his family. I think the king can do magic. Either the king's sister, or some relative helps her team out with the culture, clothes etc. She meets the king many times, and they fall in love. I think there is a scene where he takes her to the theater/opera in his carriage and they kiss or get a little intimate. She participates in an entire social season, and has some suitors. There is also an event like a garden party, where i think the king either tells her he's jealous or gets jealous due to her other suitors. But after everything, she has to leave for some reason.  I believe there is also a war in the city, where the king gets injured or she saves him.

From what i remember, this book is the first in the series. the other books explore other couples, one of who is always from the family of the king in this book (sister, mother etc. )

Can't remember anything more. Any help with the title would be most appreciated!

I need help in finding a book
Hi! I was wondering if anyone can help me. I am looking for a book where the protagonist (boy) actually came from another series. Basically, he is being given his own storyline since he is not the main character (leading man/boy) from the series he was first mentioned. I can't remember which book he came from but it is a YA series, paranormal I think. It would be so great if you can help me with this. I am literally losing sleep trying to find said book. 😅 Thanks in advance 💕

It's about a girl that lives next door to her best friend and I think his mother is never around and he always comes over to her house and there is this tree outside her bedroom window that they always go out on at night to talk. That is about all I can remember it was so long ago that I read the book. For some reason I remember a fast car that he let her drive or something too

Ok hope I have enough info so you can help me.

Book was about 3 friends 2 girls and a guy, the one girl had a heart condition. She moved in with her grandmom because her parents tried to keep her from living her life and going to a reg school.
Her friends don't know about her heart. At the end she is getting ready to go into the hospital for treatment.
