Favorite novel to movie/TV series adaptations
« on: May 31, 2012, 12:21 AM »
Hi guys!  :)
Since one of Hollywood's favorite things to do right now is to adapt popular novels into movies or TV series. I thought it would be good idea to ask what your favorite novel to movie/ TV series adaptations are. It can be Ya/ fiction/ fantasy / romance etc..
I'd also like to know what upcoming novel adaptation are you excited about.
Which novel/novel series you want to be made into a movie or TV series.
Which actor/actress you want to portray the characters.
Which is your least favorite novel adaptation.

You could have more than one favorite or least favorite.

If people say they just love the smell of books, I always want to pull them aside and ask, To be clear, do you know how reading works?

I could see him as Jace actually. More than Jaime, for sure. I wonder who they are gonna pick for Clare and Magnus. I'll probably watch the first few episodes just to see if it's any good :P

Alessandra has just literally announced this on her GR group:

★The Girl in 6E is going to be a movie! Alessandra has signed a deal with EuropaCorp Inc. to shoot a full-length, big-budget feature film of The Girl in 6E. EuropaCorp is the studio behind the Taken trilogy as well as Lucy and the Transporter movies. Contracts are already in place for Vertigo Entertainment (The Grudge, Poltergeist) to produce the movie, and a female writer has already started writing the script.

Alessandra had calls this week with Vertigo Entertainment and Chloe King, the scriptwriter, and will be an Executive Producer on the film. She will not have creative or casting control but will keep readers and fans updated.

I was just watching Shadowhunters and... OH MY GOD!!! ....I can honestly  say I like The movie so much more, I was hoping for something better, the dialogues are so cheesy it's not even funny... :-\ :-\

Has anyone seen The Shannara Chronicles ? I saw The trailer and it looks good ....What did you think about it?? :13:

2017 is shaping up to be a great year already for Alessandra Torre, first The Girl In 6E is being made into a movie now Hollywood Dirt is as well.  :cheer: :cheer:

Great news! Hollywood Dirt has been green-lit for production, and starts filming this year, in Mississippi! The film will premiere in early 2017, and will be available worldwide, in English.
