Hey, the book I'm looking for is about this girl who should've drowned, but didn't while she and a couple of friends were hanging out at an icy lake. She has a friend named Decker, and the blurb says something about how people can hold their breath for 7 minutes before dying, and she held hers for 11 or something. Sorry for the small amount of info, but this is all i can think of. THANKS SO MUCH!

Hi, everyone, I need help remembering a book!

I downloaded it, started reading it and then life got in the way, and I totally forgot about it.  :(
All I remeber is that it was a historical romance - the hero was a highlander/warrior/alpha type and he was captured by someone. His enemies, I presume. When he was brought to the enemy village, they locked him up in some kind of a shed.
The heroine is a mute, but I'm not sure about that, I just know something was not right. I think she had a female friend who maybe talked to her in sign language, I don't remember.
Anyways, the mean dude who captured the hero forces the heroine to be a spy and to get the hero talking. They lock both of them in the shed together and they spend the night. I don't remember what happened next.

I think that there is also a sequel to this book where the heroine is pregnant or something. Or maybe I'm just completely confused now  :D    I don't know, but please someone, ANYONE help me remember this book!!! :)

Could it be Gentle Rogue by Johanna Lindsey?

Heartsick and desperate to return home to America, Georgina Anderson boards the Maiden Anne disguised as a cabin boy, never dreaming she'll be forced into intimate servitude at the whim of the ship's irrepressible captain, James Mallory.

The black sheep of a proud and tempestuous family, the handsome ex-pirate once swore no woman alive could entice him into matrimony. But on the high seas his resolve will be weakened by an unrestrained passion and by the high-spirited beauty whose love of freedom and adventure rivals his own.

No this isn't the right one, but thank you anyway.  I hadn't read any of hers before but in skipping through it sounded good so I read the whole series, see easily sidetracked. The book I am looking for is a historical and I am fairly sure part of a series.

Hi everyone! I have been trying to remember what the name of this book is for AGES, I read it when I was in junior high, so late 80s possibly? But I don't think it was newly published then. The story seems to be told by a girl whose best friend commits suicide. I think they are in college? Don't know what the friend looks like, but I think the best friend is pretty, involved in art/plays etc. I think the one who dies name may be Jessica or Lisa. It starts out with J/L working on some sort of figure or mask for a play and it is a basilisk! (Actually had to look up names of mythical creatures to remember what it was called!) Anyway, J/L ends up falling in love with a married professor, becomes a babysitter for him and his wife, and eventually commits suicide. They don't have an affair or anything. The professor is happily married, and I am not sure he ever knows how J/L feels about him, but her friend knows. J/L is a sensitive, dreamy person. And I believe the book to definitely be YA, but could be wrong. I remember I checked it out of the school library. Now I wish I had just "lost" it, and paid the fee!! lol If anyone can make sense of my ramblings, and has read the book, I would LOVE to read it again. Thanks!!

I really need help with the Fictionpress stories. I read them a while ago and for some reason, didn't bookmark them.
They are 4 short stories (possibly one shots) by the same author about 4 sisters with boy troubles. I tried to find them and couldn't.
The mother is absent and these girls usually fend for themselves.

The first one: I think the h was called Courtney and the H, Cole. They had dated but he dumped her. It's Christmas and she is feeling down. He goes to visit her. They get back together. The h is the youngest sister.

The second one: The H (Alex, I think) broke up with h to date another girl. He takes the other girl to a family affair (a wedding iirc). The h is pregnant and she is feeling bad.  I think she is a twin.

The third one: The h is a party girl. She and her boyfriend broke up. She ends up with alcohol poisoning. She and the boyfriend get engaged at the end.

The fourth one: It's one of the sister's wedding and the only single sister meets with her ex. He left to pursue a career in sports. She then left for Paris. They get back together.

I would greatly appreciate if someone could remember the titles or has the link.

Thanks in advance!

I really hope someone can help me figure out the title of the book..

the story line... (as well as i can remember)
is about a girl born on another planet or world and the people there supposedly born the same time with their soulmate (or other half of them) but the girl was switched at birth with another girl and growing up she couldn't feel any connection with her partner and because she didn't want to bond with her partner, she was sent to earth. at school on earth she met a boy whom she instantly felt connected with. the boy is actually a prince from the same planet as her who also couldn't connect with his partner.  the king wanted his son to marry his partner and when the prince denied, the king prevented his son from returning to earth. the girl thought the guy had left her and few months later the guy returned and learned that they came from the same place. in the end, they ran away together with the prince defying his father wish and the king sent troops to hunt them down and to be continued... the book is a ya book and it was released last year i think.

please help me as i think i accidentally deleted the book and now i can't remember the title to download it back..

Thanks!!!

Hey all i Have a book i read in the last few months but i cant remember the title or author..

Its set in London during the Season. At the opening of the book a man is ducking out of a tryst with a married woman because her angry husband has shown up. They are having the tryst in her bedroom. To escape the husband he goes out her window and over the back wall. As he goes he notices what looks to him like a young girl looking out her bedroom window. He decides to climb up her trellis (or he may have been invited up) to talk to her an wait out the angry husbands efforts at searching for him. While he is up in her room they have a conversation an at some point she shows him her gun she keeps for protection. She isn't meaning to shoot him but she accidentally drops the gun an it goes off he bails out the window to escape the waking house hold. At a much later point in the story this scene happens again an her father comes in an finds him there this time the two are eventually married.  I think after the first shooting he left behind a piece of clothing maybe a shoe?

Hey guys! There's this book which I had seen sometime back which I really want to read now but I can't seem to remember the author or the title of the book. I'll tell as many details as I can remember but they're a bit vague so I would really appreciate it if someone tells me what book I'm talking about ^-^

The h is a baker that returns home to her younger sister's wedding
- her wedding present is the cake
- she had a crush with a boy when she was younger and she stalked him and did a lot of crazy things
- her story ended up in the towns paper (for example one time she lay in front of the H car to stop him from going on a date)
- in the beginning she is caught in the bush looking through the H window because her other sister thinks her husband is having an affair
- the H is running for some office and h brother in law is helping him
- the H ex-wife sabotages the h cakes because she hates h because on her wedding day everyone just talked about h
- the H ex-wife is opening a hotel or bed and breakfast
- when h is younger she was sent away to live with other relatives because of all the crazy things she did to H

I know this is a really vague description of a book I am looking for but I can only remember one scene out of it, but am having no luck so I thought this was worth a shot.
I believe it is a medieval / highland era type book, there is some conflict between the hero and heroine if I recall correctly the hero has invaded/ taken over the heroine's castle. The scene I remember is how the castle well suddenly dried up which confused hero, but it was the heroine who played this trick on the hero by simply placing a plank across the top of the water from some sort of secret room where she dried out herbs and made medicine as she was a healer.

I know that is not a lot to go on but if you can, please help!

Hi this is going to be a pain and I apologise for that. I've searched but can't find anything, it's a book about a teenage girl in a mental hospital, one of her friends commits suicide after a weekend at her house, her friend was involved with an orderly and her father was at fault for her death, but I'm pretty sure the main girls brother was a pro skater and his gf name was candi?
Sorry it's not much to go on any assistance would be amazing thank you

Thanks :) have a great day

Okay, it's been a while since I've read this novel so the details are a little fuzzy but here goes.  I remember this is a historical romance.  The villain is a healer in a clan or something and she wants to marry the laird so she deliberately tries to the the laird's wife sick.  I remember there is one part where a window is left open on purpose so that the heroine, who has a fever will die.  I know that's not a lot to go on but if someone could help me, I would really appreciate it.

Is it Fires of Winter by Johanna Lindsey??

The Viking invaders came from across an icy sea, taking lady Brenna as their captive. But the dauntless Celtic beauty swears that no barbarian will ever be her master - not even the handsome and powerful brute Garrick Haardrad. The son of a ruthless Viking cheiftan, Garrick is accustomed to getting his way, as he claims his exquisite 'prize' with a primative abandon that leaves Brenna breathless. Yet it is Garrick's gentle soul that undoes the lady's resolve. For even as she plots the vengeance she vowed, Brenna cannot ignore the wonder of his kisses - or douse the flames of a newly lit passion that blazes like starfire through the cold Nordic nights.

The scene you described that jogged my memory.....

She runs away, he follows and brings her back. He is so mad about...whatever (I don't really remember), that he puts her in this room on the outside of the castle. She gets sick, he is remorseful and brings her back into the house. The healer that takes care of her....is....maybe the old mistress? Anywho, leaves the window open after giving her stuff to make her throw up. Sorry, its been a while since I've read this one. Super good book though.

Hope this helps (or at least doesn't confuse your search)

I wish everyone a good and healthy new year.

These two are Harlequin books that are fairly recent, I think.
Book 1:
All I remember is that after heroine ends affair with hero, he goes to her house to try to make up with her and he sees her brother and punches him in the face because he thought he was her lover.  Heroine was making a casserole for the brother or something.  I know this isn't a lot of info but I would really appreciate some assistance.
 Book 2:
I am pretty sure there is the word pirate in the title or something like that.  The heroine runs away and gets in some trouble on a boat/ship/island.  Hero has to bail her out by contacting the military of a South American country.  I believe it was Brazil.

Thx in advance.  :-*
