Help finding a Book I read years ago. Vampire Romance Adult.
There are 2 books that I read years ago and I've looked through my collection and can't seem to find them. Doesn't help that the details are foggy so reading the synopsis might now have helped me. I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction.

Both are Vampire Romance (Adult) books. Some of the details might be wrong or a little off as I read them 10 years ago and don't remember much.

Book One:
A woman that can see ghosts and she keeps one in a locket (necklace). She falls for a vampire.

Like I said I don't remember a lot  8)

Book Two:
The main thing I remember is the lead female character gets taken to a clothing store by her love interest and she feels intimidated because whilst wearing expensive suits might be the norm for him expensive dresses are not really in her wheelhouse. *I think the story begins with the woman being turned into a vampire (not by choice) and waking up in a strange house with a strange man.

*The waking up in the house thing might be from a different different book I don't remember but want to read!  : :P

If you know the names of either of the books please let me know! It would be greatly appreciated.  :-*

so the first one could be Cassandra Palmer series by Karen Chance? She can talk to & see ghosts and keeps one in a necklace (he can recharge there), she is also claimed and falls in love with a vampire for most of the series.

Several years back, when I was only just discovering epublishing and it's vast array of delicious smuttiness, I read a blurb. Yes, that old chestnut. It was a SF type thing, set on a small spaceship, in the future, I think possibly pubbed by Ellora's Cave, maybe Samhain, who the heck knows. And even more problematically I'm not 100% whether it was m/m or m/f. I lean slightly to m/m in my vague, very fuzzy recollection, but just barely. However the hook that holds me is this - it involved a sex championship!! I think. Basically my memory says two people are hurtling through space in a hurry to get to some big sex competition that one of them wants to enter. I think there was either a normal partner absent or a potential one to impress. So one of them, the hopeful entrant (ha-ha), I feel it's a man, needs to practice! You know, by having relations. With the other person, possibly another man, possibly a woman, maybe a three headed yellow geranium, who can say? And en route to the sex competition, practising technique, lurve comes.
For years I've vaguely hoped this book might appear, it tickles randomly at the back of my brain like an irritating mozzie and I need to swat it! So please, if any of this, anything at all, sounds familar, please tell me the title and author so I can vanquish my foe.

SOLVED!!! It's called Fallen Idol by Shelley Munro, it's m/m and was Ellora's Cave but has been rereleased in 2017. This has bugged me for years, I'm so damn happy  ( :D :) :djparty: :singing

Hi! I'm looking for a children/teen book that I read when I was younger that I'd like to re-read :)

All I remember is part of the plot line of course...no useful title or author  :P

So to start two teenagers (boy and girl, cousins maybe? friends) find a stone/rock in an abandoned quarry after or during a thunderstorm. (The stone glows?, something to do with lightning maybe?) ....I think they got some powers or something but I'm hazy on this part,

....but while they're on a plane it crashes except they wake up in a different world (fantasy/medieval with elves, dwarves, magic) they meet a young man who was an apprentice or slave to a wizard and was cursed with green? skin. They have to help save the world or something... at the end they can travel back to their world (during the book they met at a forge made of meteorite i think and after some magic they are informed that they could get home but decade(s) will have passed in their world, despite less than a year passing in the fantasy world...

and at the end they wake up in the farmers field the plane crashed in but decades later and the parents/aunt had still stayed by the phone waiting for news of them....

I thought the book was called something like touchstone, lightning stone, thunder stone, but no luck finding it. I think its definitely earlier than the 2010s, but beyond that, no idea about author etc!

I would mention I live in Ireland and I read it in english. My brother has no recollection of it. I think I read it in end primary school or beginning secondary school so could even be before 2005-ish?

Hope this helps! Please help. It is driving me nuts, I know I didn't make this up or dream it!   :D

FOUND IT: Touchstone by Peter Regan.

"In a remote quarry near their homes, Patti and Simon shelter from a summer storm. A bolt of lightning erupts at their feet and afterwards they find the Touchstone, 'white in color with a green vein, about the size of a large apple', which is to be their password to another world."

I recognised the cover too. Also that description, hey google how come none of MY keywords of quarry, lightning, stone, another world ever found that book?!?!

Did you Forget a Book Title?
« Reply #507 on: January 07, 2020, 12:34 PM »
Genre: New Adult/Romance
Summary:

If I remember correctly it was a romance set in college. The guy is an athlete. The girl just wants a friends with benefits type of relationship because she has an illness. I think it was Parkinson's?  She was an athlete as well. She doesn't want to be with the guy because she doesn't want him taking care of her for the rest of his life. I just remember it was something that affected her walking.

Help!

Hi! I was wondering if anyone can help me. I am looking for a book where the protagonist (boy) actually came from another series. Basically, he is being given his own storyline since he is not the main character (leading man/boy) from the series he was first mentioned. I can't remember which book he came from but it is a YA series, paranormal I think. It would be so great if you can help me with this. I am literally losing sleep trying to find said book. 😅 Thanks in advance 💕

Hi all!

Does anyone remember the name of this historical romance? It is in regency England. The heroine is uncommonly beautiful, worked as a governess, but constantly mistreated and approached to become mistress/whore. She hated it, that she almost deliberately wanted to scar her face.

The hero is an earl, one of the pursuing man. The heroine turned down his offer of course. A few years later, the heroine was abducted and auctioned at brothel. The hero (who kept track of her for years) bought her. He abducted her and sort of forced her to be his mistress.

The heroine ran away, miscarried (pregnant with the hero's child). They met after a few years, and rekindled their relationship.

Anyone remember? Thanks in advance!

I read this book probably in 2008, could’ve been earlier. It was about a Mexican family. They moved to America and The parents I believe worked as farm workers, so they would move very often in order to find work. They had children, and unfortunately never made friends. The oldest I believe was a boy and he finally made some friends in school and was learning English, and after living in the city after some time they moved again. But it was a surprise to him since he arrived home and saw that all of his families stuff was once packed again in boxes. I also Beloit was nonfiction. Thanks!

Looking for a book 😱🥺

I hope anyone can help me find this book. I have
read it years ago and I want to read it again, it
was an indie book, wasn't really popular, but it got me
through a bout of depression.

The story goes...
A teenage boy who was living on his own, took care of a really young, I think 14-16 year old girl who was abandoned by her mom. She kept on hiding in his apartment whenever she doesn't have food to eat or just when life got crappy. He is working at a Walmart type store I think and he was encouraged yo better himself by an elderly employer, so he got his GED, graduated Uni and helping the girl out. They fell in love and got married in the end.

Please can someone help?! Sending virtual cupcakes 🤭

Hi all!

I'm looking for this book for ages. I think its part 2 of a series but can be read as standalone. H and h are in a love- hate relationship. I think h is the best friend of h in part 1, not sure about H being friends with H in part 1. h's parents are both immigrant not sure if its Sri Lanka or India, and both work in medical field as doctor and/or researcher. But she didn't follow her parents footstep.

Found it! It's Redemption by Rebecca Lynn

I'm looking for a book I read years back. It was in the sci-fi romance 18+ genre and a standalone novel. It had a shirtless man and woman on the cover, with the woman's back turned and a large tattoo on there.

It's an alien abduction with the male being an alien and the female being human. The woman's husband and young son had died before her being abducted. I think the woman was a New Zealander.

I cannot remember the whole plot except that humans were thought of as cattle and sold as meat. And that there is a romance between the two main characters.

Can someone help with the title and author of this book?

Are you thinking of Lynda Chance's Marco's Redemption? I have that book and I seem to recall that being the setup.

To help you jog your memory, here's the back cover blurb:

Marco Donati is rich, ruthless--and more often than not--indiscriminate. Interested only in satisfying his sexual needs casually and frequently, he has no intention of changing a thing about his life. Natalie Lambert is alone, broke, and new to the city when a chance encounter leaves her under the power and control of Marco Donati. As the story unfolds, tensions mount and trust is tested between two people who can't manage to stay away from each other.
