She turns up to stay at her step sisters flat while she is away. Sisters boss turns up, needs a date for an event. They end up pretending to date for the next weekend away, his hosts wife tries to seduce him. Thats about all :-*

Help with a Book Title
Hey, hoping someone can help me remember the book:
The theme is somehow similar to Sandra Brown's Low Pressure.
The heroine's sister was murdered when they were small and she'd gone back home for closure (can't remember where like LP she'd also written a  book). If I remember correctly, it turned out that the murderer was one of their friends who was fixated by her sister (and I think he also assaulted her). In modern day the killer was a think the mayor or some local leader or someone in authority and I think he was still a predator. The setting was in a swampy region / near a river/forest (maybe Louisiana?). I think the murdered sister was about 8 - 12 yrs old. Also iirc when the heroine came back to her old town no one wanted her back, and only the hero supported her. I think she'd rented a cabin/old house or something.
While Low Pressure is not per se similar, the undertones are similar.

Thanks!

This thread doesn’t get much action  :'( but fingers crossed someone knows this one.

Amazon romance novel I read years ago 2015 ish to present.

Plot - a group of 3-4 billionaires have a pact to protest themselves relationship wise. They each contract with a woman and date her for a year then each woman rotates within the group of friends dating each one of them for a year until they all each date all the women then they find another group of women to contract.

Main hero guy’s woman he finds and contracts with her immediately knows he only wants her but works within the year to get her on board and broach the subject with his friends.

Help find this bdsm book
« Reply #566 on: August 08, 2022, 10:31 AM »
I remember reading a bdsm book where woman goes to club to sign up and begin training with a master when she meets a different dom. This dom is told he is not allowed to train her but he finds her outside of the club and they begin a relationship anyway away from the club. I remember a scene where he is angry she called a taxi because he thinks that’s dangerous and he will drive her.
Can anyone find this? It’s driving me crazy!

Hi,
I don't remember a ton of details... but remember a few very specific ones so hoping someone might be able to help me find this contemporary romance:

  • FMC is preparing to go off and start a new life in NYC after living in a small town her whole life (I believe as a teacher)
  • FMC is a virgin, which shes ashamed of, and she convinced her brothers friend (MMC) to have a summer fling with her -- he ultimately agrees to
lots of steamy sex and costumes (at one point there was a harem girl costume too)
  • MMC starts falling in love with FMC but he feels locked down to staying home because his parents are getting older and he's the only one who can take on the work with the farm for his dad.
  • MMC ultimately breaks up with FMC before she leaves (I think right after sex)
  • After FMC leaves, she misses MMC and he misses her. MMCs parents tell him to go after her and that they can get the farm to survive or will sell if its not his dream. MMC shows up on FMCs doorstep on Halloween (when shes dressed as a harem girl as she's getting ready to go to a party) to make a big gesture and tell her he will move to be with her.
  • In the epilogue, you learn they spent a few years in NYC then moved back to their hometown together with a new appreciation for that life

Does anyone know this book?
« Reply #568 on: December 17, 2022, 10:31 PM »
Hi I’m looking for an old book whose title and author I forgot. It’s about a college student who gets pregnant by a one night stand. The baby daddy is a law student from a wealthy family and h is poor. H has a long term girlfriend who he breaks up with to be with h and the baby. At some point H and the long term girlfriend get back together but it doesn’t work out. The girlfriend says something like “I can’t compete with the baby can I?”

Sorry for the chaotic explanation but if anyone remembers this book please help!

Okay, I need help finding this series. It's by one author and maybe a 2 or 3 book series.
It is a mafia romance and I read it in the last 2 maybe 3 years. The H abducts the h from her wedding. they are in rival mafia families. She hates him and he is using her as revenge. The mother of the h or the H is murdered several years earlier and they think its a rivals family but it turns out that it was someone close to them( can't recall who, maybe the father dad) but whoever murdered the mom plans to kill the h the same way, by throwing her over a cliff. This is the first book in the series.  In the second (maybe 3rd) book the H finds out he is the son of the rival family and is related to the H in the book I mentioned above. He becomes a hermit and ends up finding his h after she escapes from the guys holding her hostage (she has no memory of who she is ). They have beaten her and hurt her for years (we learn she saw something her husband did and he had her taken and those holding her captive were trying to find out what she knew or what her secret was). Anyway, the H rescues her and takes her back to civilization and they end up finding out she has been reported as missing by her husband and that's when all the details of her past come to light. Her husband is a bad dude, maybe mafia or cartel, something like that.

thoughts?

I have a book series i have forgotten the name of.  The basis of the stories is modern time heroines who are about to meet their deaths are transported to the scotland of the past. They usually end up on a beach infront of a cottage. The owner of the cottage is half fae / half mortal. She guides the newly transported women to the keep, the residents of the keep are responsible for keeping the fae doorway located in nessys loch underguard and the fae creatures incheck. The heroines find their heros among the residents of the keep. First new comer is a cop with an interest in swords. She had an ex who after she fights him off with the sword she just received that day,  he comes back with a bat to kill her. This was just the first in a line of books.

NEVERMIND FINNALLY FOUND THE BOOK. ITS REBECCA PRESTONS HIGHLANDER FOREVER SERIES. A TIME TRACEL ROMANCE. FIRST BOOK IS RESCUED BY THE HIGHLANDER. THANK YOU FOR ANYONE HELPING TO FIND IT.  :)

Hi,
I'm looking for a historical romance. I believe that the H was a duke/marquis. I don't remember the H & h names but I remember that the h had two best friends, one I believe was a blonde called Penelope(?) and one was a gypsy.
The H & h met when the h and her friends were doing some demonstration  on I think the poor working conditions of some mines and the h jumped into H's carriage. H forced h to marry him because h had apparently been ruined  in the midst of the commotion(her gown got torn) of getting into the carriage. The H thought that the h had done it deliberately. Penelope, the blonde pal, fainted upon meeting the H and I believe she got married to the footman/butler who caught her up when she fainted. The gypsy girl, I believe stabbed/killed her stalker.
I think the H was into science & inventions. The h does get pregnant in the course of the book. She also tries to improve the conditions of the H's coal mines ( reason for their demonstrations) and I believe there was a small boy from one of the improvished families that the h got attached to. The dad/stepdad of the small boy was nasty.
I also think that there was a checkered (yellow&black?) cloak that kept being referenced. I also think that the H had earlier been betrayed by a woman hence his bitterness towards the h at the beginning of the book.
The details are a little hazy but I hope this helps.
Please help. I read this book in either early 2000 or 2005.

Thanks.

Many years later, almost 10 year and by chance, finally go the book! "Katherine Deauxville - Enraptured" - some mixed up points but I can't believe how most is on point! :) It wasn't as interesting as I thought it to be thou :'(

Hi,

I'm trying to remember a book title for a historical romance. The plot: the duke was a brilliant politician. His wife cheated on him with his allies and then died/was killed. He stopped leaving his house. The romance is between the duke and his new housekeeper who pushes him to recover.

I think the book is part of a series but I'm not sure.

Hi, trying to remember a book. The H and h were both in the movie industry. I remember the h, a former child of a singer/actress, was called Rainbow/Rainee - mum died from an overdose, I think. I think the H's name was Mackenzie, not sure. H was abused as a child, and was saved by one of the would be "customers" (I think he was called Charles). The H had plastic surgery - had been beaten up during the childhood abuse and I also think he had dyslexia. The book is mostly set  on a movie set - H&h - are actor/res. Actually I think the book started with the h going to the H's requesting him to take up the role which was apparently Oscars worthy. Thou married, had been separated, had an affair while shooting and the h got pregnant. The H's former identity was leaked to the  press and to get away from all that, both went to Arizona (not sure), where he built a labyrinth, and as healing process could write and burn notes.
I could write a lot from what I can remember but I hope the summary is enough to bring out much about the book.
Thanks.
