I know there's already an 'Introduce Yourself' thread up on the main page but I thought I'd put one up here in the Cafe as well (so it's just for us book readers). Please take a moment to drop in and say hi, maybe tell us a little bit about yourself....or just tell us what type of books you like to read.

I'm in my mid-twenties and more often than not spend my free time reading books.
I love reading YA/NA books. I'm a sucker for HEAs.

Can anyone recommend YA/NA books that I could read preferably stand-alone ones? Thanks a lot!

I read mostly on my little iPod that goes with me everywhere, although I do have a kindle and an iPad as well. I surf the different sites looking for the Amazon books that are free for short periods and grab them when I can. I have found many great authors that way and buy their other books when I find good authors.

I love cozy mysteries, medical mysteries, biographies, medically related and animal books mostly. I rarely read romance or sci-fi books.

I love playing the book games on this site as well.

I used to read between 1 and 2 (no kids, so it's easier), but since I spend my time here, it went down to 1 in 1-2 days. $:-\$ I have to do something about it...

yep, since I've started being here again, i don't read.
Today I've got my book on mail, real book and real mail,and I'm not reading it...maybe tonight, i've got to attend a concert and maybe that will be the time.

Gosh apparently not since all you have are little old ladies posting here lol. I'm afraid I'm one too. If you go into the bookstore cafe you should be able to post for book recs there. Probably the best place to post for that kind of thing.

Some that I really loved

Young adult - The Avery Shaw Experiment by Kelly Oram and Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend by Becca Ann
New adult - Easy by Tammara Webber and the author is turning it into a series but I think it can be read as stand alone Vain by Fisher Amelie

Hi. Lazy bum here, so I'm just copying and pasting what I posted on the other "Introduce Yourself" thread.

After being recommended to check this site out more than a few times in the past year, I decided to put on my big girl panties, get off my lazy ass and check this place out. I've already spent more time than I probably should have trying to pick a gif to upload as an avatar, but that's how crazy and OCD I get.

I love to read and my tastes run far and wide from non-fiction to romance to graphic novels as well as fan fiction. From what I've seen so far, everyone here seems friendly and personable, so I'm going to take a triple twisting double back somersault dive* in and see what treasures I can discover. Excited to meet you all.

*disclaimer: this poster knows absolutely nothing about diving other than the men wear itty bitty speedos and have drool worthy bodies.
