Hello, all :)

I know there's already an 'Introduce Yourself' thread up on the main page but I thought I'd put one up  here in the Cafe as well (so it's just for us book readers). Please take a moment to drop in and say hi, maybe tell us a little bit about yourself....or just tell us what type of books you like to read.

!!

Warning ! Please do not post any personal information that may be used to identify your person outside of this site, such as your place of residence, age, or real name. This information may be used with harmful intent.

Note: Since our policy for uploading books has changed to not allowing books to be uploaded, the bar at the top was changed to reflect this to prevent confusion.    The policy is we do not allow copyrighted published books uploaded on this site.

Hi Avanika/Sneha and welcome to the STP community!

Which do you prefer? We have people from all over here. This site was set up for college students by Mr Admin. He saw a need for reference material & a plan & ta-da! There is a lot of books in the genres you prefer! Congrats on your engagement!
Service space is always an issue. Please use the search button before re-requesting or uploading. Some tricks for searching: Use either the book, series or author and change it to "entire forum". To bring up Advanced Search enter just 1 letter. Searching is tricky but do your best. Everyone here is very nice as I'm sure you'll find out, please use the thank you button.

Also check out the weekly request posts. They are awesome and one of the reasons this has become MY go to site. Use the notify button. It will email you when something is posted in that thread!

Regarding different formats, please follow forum rules and use either CALIBRE which is a FREE software that can convert books in over 10 different formats including pdf or use an online free tool You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Hope this helps and remember help is just a PM away!  :D

ThAank you so much for all the information........

Hey,
I am Ren.
I am 32 yrs old, live in S'pore and am a stay-at-home mom to my almost 4 yr old bundle of energy. :)
I did my MBA abt 10 yrs bk and I am pretty sure a couple of my professors have caught me out for reading while a lecture ws goin on...
Oh well, ws a bookaholic then, stil am and I really dont see a change happening anytime soon.
I ws searching for a book online when I stumbled upon ebook heaven, aka STP.
It ws love at first download :D
Right now I am a bit busy with my daughters  b'day (this month end). So I am forcing myself not to read since I have the classic bookworm issue of not being able to put a book down without finishing it. ;)
I love to sew and bake, apart from reading. Which is why I am busy. making my kids dress and cake. Sooo not gonna read anything other than cake decorating books for nw. (i hope)
But first, my heart felt thanks to you guys for doing such a wonderful job.
Hope I will be able to contribute sometime too.
And most of all, its grt to meet so many people who love to read.
Cheers!

Hi, I'm new here  :)

I am 25yrs old. I studied architecture, but now I'm working on an MBA. I lovee books, so much that sometimes I get distracted and I forget about my homework. It all started with the Potter books and Twilight, then I just got hooked on reading. I read romance, YA, paranormal romance, urban fantasy, I even read a harlequin once in a while. I tend to prefer series, cuz I love the expectation of what's gonna be on the next book, and also that they are long. Im currently single with no kids. So that kinda sums it up  ;D

Hi Xisecrets, Buttercup07, and welcome to the STP community!

Here are somethings that have been put together for all members:

Xisecrets, I too read constantly! Even when I was in school as do my children & grandchildren. Keep on downloading that way once you get a break you can catch up!  ;)

Buttercup07, I too get distracted when reading lol. You will find a lot of books to interest you here I think.  :) I totally get the appeal on series vs stand alone titles, and prefer them as well.

hi, and yeah i definitely do get it, though some authors take it too far and release
books that should have been series of their own as sequels.
Although 5 books should be enough, the truth is when u get to 12 books
no matter what, or who u are
STOP!!

Hello my name is Laura i am 27 live in Midwest, happily married (my husband supports my book addiction) . I started seriously reading in fifth grade with the books of Alexandre Dumas continued with mostly historical , classics by the time i was in college Kant mostly philosophical ( big nerd ;D) . As a kid you always hurry to became an adult  :) but i am now addicted to SF, YA more imaginary the better.I think books are the best escape in to  different worlds and it makes everyday life hardships easier to pass, after a day at the office the right  book manages to put i a big smile on my face.

Hiya guys.
I'm Nyna. 17, from Ohio. I share this account with my younger sister. I have three younger siblings.
I'll read pretty much anything. But my favorite books consist of Science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Some of my all time favorites are The Harry Potter series (but, of course  ;D), Lord of the Rings, anything by Margaret Peterson Haddix (Among the Hidden, Running out of Time), anything by Stephen King (Carrie, Cujo, Pet Cemetary), The Hunger Games Trilogy, Artemis Fowl, Eragon, and most of Cornelia Funke's stuff (Inkheart, Dragon Rider).
So far I've really enjoyed this site, and I plan to stick around. Thank you guys for being so awesome.  :)
