I purposely copied your signature because I had to laugh. I am a COH (child of a hoarder; you know, like you see on TV) and I very much struggle because of that in many areas. When I started getting so many ebooks I went to my support group and I knew it sounded stupid, and I told them so but I was almost having panic attacks over "hoarding" ebooks. They laughed at me and reassured me I'm not a hoarder in the literal sense of the word
While I have a massive amount of ebooks I don't feel anxious about it I guess because they are on the computer and not stacked up all around me. lol I can only imagine how I'd have to become a monkey or something if Had all 10,000+ of my books in my tiny apartment. BTW I loved little house on the prairie books too! They rock!!!!
One of my cats is kinda chubby, ok he's fat. So I have to have clear room for him to waddle through. Don't want him getting stuck No pathway for me!
So....1. How many ebooks do you have? 30,000+ ebooks (do I sound like a hoarder or what?) and 500+ books. I've read over 2,000 of them
Dusty do you have them all organized or are they just in one big folder?Mine are not completely organized. I have a few folders I put them in. One for now as in I want to read it NOW. lol Another for later and then there is the calibre library folder that has all the ones I've put in there and updated covers/etc. I wish they were ALL in the calibre folder but with my carpal tunnel some days its hard enough on my wrist to just check emails and stuff!
For those of you that use calibre, do you still keep separate copies in other folders? Once I add a book to calibre I delete the file from wherever it was stored previously. I do however keep backups of all the book folders and the calibre library folders on two separate external HD's.
