THE Book
« on: April 19, 2012, 12:23 AM »
Ok so this is a thread about a book that scarred you ( in a good way) for life, either you read it when you were a teen/are a teen, made you see things differently, made you go back to it over and over again/you can actually quote from it/you kind of reference everything to it/goes in the "I would take it on a deserted island" category/ there are other good books out there but it's still the ONE/ it's your secret pleasure to just re read and re live it again....phewww ...well please let me know.                                                                    For me it's Something Wonderful by Judith McNaught - read it when I was a teen, cried and sobbed and read it 10 more times                                              What is your obssession?

Mine is The Violin by Anne Rice..... I've read it so many times that I've had to replace it because it fell to pieces (literally) ;D

Mine was Flowers in the Attic, by Virginia C. Andrews.
I was in there with them, hurting for them. I wanted to have a brother like Chris, and complained to my mum about it for months because she didn't give me a big brother (I only have a younger sister) , but what do you know, I was only 12 at the time...   ::)
I still liked Chris in the other three books...  8) 8)

I've actually got several, but I think maybe the very first was No Man's Son by Doris Sutcliffe Adams.  Marco is still my model for what it means to be a man.
