What are you reading? (November 2011)
« on: November 03, 2011, 05:22 PM »
My weekly "what are you reading threads" have not been getting a lot of activity :( so I have decided to make them monthly instead of weekly. This is the first of the monthly threads so please feel free to discuss any books that you are reading, or plan to read, what you think about recently read books or ask questions about books others are reading.

The rules of the thread are simple:

This is a 'discussion only' board. No uploads or requests will be tolerated and will be deleted without warning. Please be courteous and follow the posted rules. Thank you.

Continued from You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.

I am also going to lock all of the other threads.

Enjoy! ;D

I'm now on to The Compound by S.A. Bodeen.

This was a very interesting book. I had a hard time putting it down. It definately took a twist and didn't end the way I thought it would.

I'm gonna start Zone One by Colson Whitehead now. I have 2 more books to read before the end of the year to meet my goal of 104.

I am reading for the second time the Psy-Changelings series by Nalini Singh. I'm currently reading Caressed by ice (book 3). Beside the fact that I'm a great fan of it, I think that a second reading could give me clues about the ghost I might have missed in the first reading...

Well after the discussion about the hottest guys in books, I read the Stephenie Plum series. Yes the entire 18 books in the last 4 days. They were good light reads, good humor and sexy ass men! Now I don't know what to start reading. I am still lusting after Ranger and Morelli! :P

I did almost the same thing.  Someone I work with recommended the series and I was so depressed when I finished.  I am on a Kristen Ashley kick now.  Try her she is just awesome.  I just finished Sweet Dreams and I love Tate more than Ranger now.

note any book with * you can find it posted in my non fiction collection thread

* 3,096 Days in Captivity: The True Story of My Abduction, Eight Years of Enslavement, and Escape

On March 2, 1998, ten-year-old Natascha Kampusch was kidnapped, and found herself locked in a house that would be her home for the next eight years. She was starved, beaten, treated as a slave, and forced to work for her deranged captor. But she never forgot who she was-and she never gave up hope of returning to the world. This is her story.

* Blown for Good

Blown for Good tells the story of one man’s journey growing up inside Scientology and ultimately escaping from the Scientology International Headquarters he worked at for 15 years.

I shall pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness
I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.
