Anyone with a kobo touch having problems?
« on: May 06, 2013, 04:40 PM »
Just looking to see before I update my tools and whatnot in calibre if it will support the new update that my kobo touch did the other day. I've had my kobo touch for two years and it hadn't really updated as I rarely sync it, and while I was trying to see why my time was showing wrong I updated it. And now have a brand new look to my reader. But when I went to remove a book that I had finished from my reader with calibre it said that it couldn't with the version that I am running with. Version 9.20, it said  see attachment.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this or if I just need to do the update on calibre.

Thanks for anyone's thoughts!
Can I just win the lottery so that my only decision in my life will be which book to read today? Please?

Have you tried downloading and installing the latest version of Calibre?  Maybe the newer version of Calibre will support the updated firmware used in your Kobo Touch.  8)

If you are still having problems after installing the latest version, I would recommend waiting for the next release of Calibre.  Maybe then it will have support for the firmware your are currently using on your Kobo Touch.

depending on the update you got from Kobo,  I would blame that,  I got a update on my kobo and had to remove all my side loaded books   as they hadn't synced with the update,  I removed them manually from te kobo  not through Clibre and then re loaded and all was well with my world,
I am not a complete idiot, some parts are missing    :)

I was lucky. When I updated calibre and the tools, my kobo recognized everything again!
Funny how the kobo wouldn't interface, almost as if they had programed it not to. LOL
