Crisis averted!
« on: June 03, 2012, 01:09 AM »
Monday morning I woke to a Nook tablet that would not turn on (not even 6 mos old yet).  It had worked fine all day Sunday, so I figured maybe for some reason it didn't charge and took it with me to brother-in-law's for the cookout. Charged for a few hours, still nothing.  I was devastated.  I had almost 700 books on there, as well as personal pictures. Due to work and other priorities, I was unable to take it in until Thursday. When I finally got to the store that evening, it took all of 20 minutes for the guy to determine the power supply/source was bad, and he replaced it on the spot!  I didn't have to wait, and all my apps and books that I had purchased from B&N were waiting for me.  The others are still on my hard drive, so I didn't lose anything!!

This whole experience verified how addicted I am to that thing lol.  It also forced me to pick up a real book again, it had been too long. Sooo thankful I have it back, though!

That sounds utterly terrifying. This is exactly the reason why I keep back up files on flash drives.

They are all in a folder on my hard drive, and I am now using my Dropbox LOL.

I'm on my 3rd cord since christmas.  Unfortunetely a very common and stupid problem.

You would think they would have figured out by now to make a better cord.  As far as i understand the color also has the same cord problems.

Thankfully b&n replaces it no problem.
