See, now that description probably wouldn't have bothered me too much because I tend to skim through the descriptions at the beginning.  They are all the same to me.

Of course, this doesn't mean I wouldn't have flounced for another reason ....like boredom. ;)

But what's funny is this story is a favorite of a number of people here.  I sometimes wonder if I skip the first so many chapters & get to the Edward part, if there is actually a good story in there.....

I actually read past all that and finally reached the "Edward" part of the story. And it was even worse  :D

I actually read past all that and finally reached the "Edward" part of the story. And it was even worse  :D
Thanks! I will now be adding it to my "Never Read if you don't want nightmares" pile, along with Wisp's backstory.  I read the first chapter of that....yeah, it was bad.  It is one thing to guess what she must have been put through & another to actually read it.  No, no, no, no  >:(

Thanks! I will now be adding it to my "Never Read if you don't want nightmares" pile, along with Wisp's backstory.  I read the first chapter of that....yeah, it was bad.  It is one thing to guess what she must have been put through & another to actually read it.  No, no, no, no  >:(

I'm such a fangirl from Wisp but there's no way in hell I'm reading that. You're right, you can surmise what's happened but that doesn't mean I want it confirmed. I'm really hoping as the story goes on and Bella starts to remember more/communicate better that nothing gets too graphic.

I think I am about to flounce this one. Bella is even more depressed than usual after Edward leaves. Sooo angsty and sad. I read this.....and can't remember a thing about it. I only know that I did read it because the column in Calibre is marked as so.

That's how I've been with fics lately that have sequels or trilogies. It doesn't seem to matter how much i love the first one, I almost never read any of the others   :-\

Me too. What I'm usually after is the romance, the chase and the fall. In sequels, they are together, and it's usually just a bunch of crap thrown at them for unnecessary drama.

The chat thread reminded me that I flounced The Office. The lemons were hot but there are thousands of fics with good lemons that also have good plots. I just found the whole thing too try hard and chick-lit like.

I remember reading it and thinking it was okay, but I couldn't see what all the fuss was about.  There wasn't much of a story other than the sex.  And him keeping her panties. 
 ;)

I liked The Plan much better.  Okay, maybe that was about sex also.  :banghead:  ;D

I was thinking about adding a flounced column just the other day, but I didn't think about adding a comment column.  That is a great idea.  I will know which stories I might want to reread and which I will never read again.

My God,  yes!  That is the one flaw that I keep hoping will be updated soon.  I even added a comment on the app about how nice it would be if users could edit metadata from their device.  And I wish there was some way to view your library more like you do on your desktop,  you can see at one time what you have already read vs having to view each book entry.
I haven't bought the phone app yet.  I'm trying to figure out how to work it since my new computer is Windows 8 & I can only talk to my network drive when I'm connected to the network.  On Win 7, Seagate has a program that lets you access the network drive from anywhere.  But so far it doesn't work with Windows 8.  So putting my Calibre library there is a pain.

Which phone app do you have?
