I've read Sara's Girl and Cheryl Dyson and enjoyed them both. Have any of you guys read Femme? I have read most of her Harry/Draco and none of her Snape/Draco because that's not my thing, but I have loved all of them. Very much up there with Sara's Girl in my opinion. I've got some Femme in my list to read, haven't tried her yet I don't think. I felt the urge, so I'm rereading Sara's Girls Foundations stories right now, I'm about halfway through Reparations.

Ah, I'm rereading Turn! I read it every Christmas.

I just reread Turn a few weeks ago too! I think it is my favorite fanfic story ever.

I'm reading Underwater Light by Maya/Mistful. It's very AU, 7th  year at Hogwarts, Harry and Draco become friends, and it's really slow burny. Might be too slow for some people, but I'm enjoying it. Harry decides to befriend Draco after he becomes "the thing Harry will miss most" in another TriWizard Tourney, people are disappearing from Hogwarts, and of course, Hermione and Ron do not understand this new friendship.

I just finished slashpervert's A Love so Belated (thanks for that rec too!)  It was pretty good-- the beginning especially, as you said.  I did skim most of the sex scenes as I didn't need to read about every single interaction.  But it was good.  There's a sequel -- A Heart so Ravenous.  Have you read that one?  I read the AN at the end to make sure it's complete (and it is) but she mentions a third part with the title TBD.

No, I haven't read the next one yet. What happened to Draco at the end of this one just really ticked me off, that this author feels the need to use that in every single series she writes, so I didn't go any further yet.  I'm sure I will though. I still need to finish the Bound Prince ones though!

That was my first by slashpervert and if that is a recurring theme I'll probably not read any more by her. Thanks for the heads up.

I remember something happening somewhere in the Bound Prince series, Lucius had Draco and Harry prisoner and forced Draco to do stuff. Can't remember which one it was in though. It wasn't full out rape, but close enough, IMO.

I'm going to start Underwater Light right now. 

Let me know what you think about it!  I'm almost 60% in and still loving it. Wonderful Draco, just as snarky and arrogant as you'd want, but so much more. Funny, too.
After this though, I want something where one of my guys is broken and the other takes care of him. Been a while since I've read one of those.

Isn't he? I just finished it, and loved it. It wasn't really a sexy read at all, I think it's even rated T, but I loved it all. Funny and sweet and sad.

Now lots of reviews mentioned crying buckets, now I didn't do THAT, but I might have shed a tear here and there.

I did have to take a bit of a break and read a couple of shorties where they actually hurried up and got their shit together!

I hope by sad you don't mean a main character dies. But don't spoiler me if there is. It's a great read and lately I like the longer fics.

I won't spoil anything, but I admit, after a while, I did have to go hunt up who the spy was, so I spoiled myself, lol. It did have some good twists and turns at the end. I just didn't see much worth sobbing over, I had more fun laughing and wanting them to get together already.

 

I think you and I have very similar tastes-- slow burn, GFY, Drarry. I always like your recs.

If you haven't checked out Dysonrules/cheryl dyson yet, you should, she's very good. So far I've read Pseudo, Chains of Earth (excellent, Draco has wings!), Paradigm (Draco's a rentboy! sort of...) Praxis,  and In Pieces (ghost Draco, and he's lovely!).
