Evading Edward?  Is that the one where Bella moves in next door to the Cullens and is friends with all but Edward?  They meet when he almost hits her on the driveway?  Yeah. I didn't get far in that one.  Something else caught my interest and I'm not sure what happened to it.  ADD strikes again!  Are you finding it boring or does it pick up?

Yup, that's the one. It's okay so far... I'm at the point where Edward basically says he can get Bella to fall for him so he's turning on the charm. And she's resisting (hence the title lol) but....there are 800 pages left and I know I'll grow bored if this is what happens during the majority of the fic. I love UST but not 800 pages of it lol

Like Savana, I'm dying for an awesome, can't stop reading fic. Preferably filled with angsty goodness lol

I think it deserves more reviews than it has.

I like reading multi-chapter fics so I want my HEA.  Life's rough enough as it is so I have no desire to deal with heartache in my 'recreational' time.

I'm pretty much anything goes apart from that as long as the writing is good.  I enjoy non-canon because I think it's really nice to explore the other characters - though I haven't really gotten into reading about wolf pack main characters.  I prefer the vamps

I also like angst and UST.  I don't mind lemons, but they can get repetitive and unrealistic.  I don't particularly enjoy High School fics, or fics with children.  HS was too long ago for me and I have young children so I get seriously annoyed with how they don't seem to take up any of B&E's time in fics...

OMG, Chippy - I totally agree with everything you said, except for the non-canon part!       I just have to have my Edward and Bella!  I don't care too much about the peripheral characters being canon or not, but E&B are mandatory or I don't read it. 

I'm just finishing Work Of Art by abstract way and I'm in love with this story and her writing!  Currently reading her Dodge and Burn WIP, and probably heading to Animate Me next!   I need to have 5 or 6 good fics going at a time because I read different things depending on my mood.    Right now I seem to be waiting on several WIP's to update and that makes me antsy...I need to have some complete fics on deck.     

Also reading Southern Comfort by JiffyKate;  The Rookie by LyricalKris; High Anxiety by EdwardsBloodType; A Different King of Pain by SparklingWand;  Me & Mr. Cullen;  Symmetry (LOVE THIS ONE), and about 30 other WIPS that I can't remember until they update!

When I was a newbie I took the HEA for granted.  Then I read Toye, The Elusive Mr. Cullen (there were a couple more that I can't remember the name of) and I was so shocked that there was no HEA!  I still enjoyed the stories but I lost my innocence.   

I know what you mean.  For me it was "Twice in a Lifetime Singer."  That non-HEA gave me nightmares

I wish I had - I was completely unprepared to deal with an unHEA at the time.  That fic makes me sad to this day (and I read it back in '08-'09).  Every review I read was basically the same:  "brilliant author, but now I'm miserable/gutted/depressed/empty..."  I'm surprised I didn't cause a flood with all of my crying.  It's posted on the original thread.  Read it if you dare!


Summary:  "Almost 70 years after Edward and Bella marry, Edward comes across another singer. What if his pull towards her is as strong, or stronger, as his was to Bella all those years ago?"

I found you!  I found you!  I kept searching the other board for a link, then my eyes started to cross and I got distracted by tea and cookies.  Thanks a bunch for the new board Ella!

I'm going to be avoiding that one as well. I remember seeing it and wondering if it had an HEA. Thanks for letting us know.  You'd think Edward could just bite and kill her.  Isn't that what you're supposed to do with a singer? Bella was only different because he couldn't read her mind (canon here).

Takes place after E leaves in NM. Follow Bella as life takes her through twists and turns that eventually lead her back to a strangley different E. Can true love overcome all lifes jagged twists and sharp turns?

Eden Burning catches up w/ Edward & Bella after 4 years of marriage. What would have happened if Nessie was never & Bella stayed human? Would their love be enough to survive this dark journey or would their paradise burn to the ground? Dark, adult themes.

This one was pretty bad too.  really cruel.

I keep hearing that about mamasutra.  I'll admit I've only read one of her stories, but it had a happy ending.  It's called Sin.  It's quite lemony though.

Her stories are somewhat realistic but depressing.  I finally removed her form author alert.  I just couldn't take it anymore.
again I never read a full story, I checked the endings and that was enough for me.

Exactly!  Unfortunately, this new singer is basically Bella reincarnated.  She's clumsy and reminds Edward of human Bella.  Her name is Annabelle and her freesia smell is much stronger than Bella's.  He also can't read her mind.   The author did post an alternate HEA ending, but it was too late.  I couldn't un-read the previous chapter.  If you have something stuck in your eye that can only be dislodged by tears or you need to scare off a man with your gut-wrenching sobs, this is the one for you!


I read Open Up Next to You (I will never learn my lesson) and I tried to read Eden Burning.  Is there some setting on my browser that can steer me away from these stories?  I'm an emotional wimp
