This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

I finally broke down and read FSoG. It's basically a find/replace of the names from what I remember of MotU.

MoTU was the 2nd or 3rd fanfic I read & it was still a WIP. I was so p*ssed when I heard she was changing the names to Christian and Anastasia. Really? What horrible names. Twitter went crazy when we heard. No one was happy. Sigh. Maybe that's what got Icy mad at us LOL! She probably thought they were great names.

She also made Esme the doctor that saved Edward or really Christian in FSoG. Otherwise I think it was pretty much the same, I think.

I never read MOTU, but have indulged in FSoG. I knew it was Twi fanfiction before reading, but had a hard time picturing EC as Christian Grey. Same for Anastasia. He seemed too brazen and "sophisticated," not that EC isn't, just in a more business-like way. IDK. I'd say give it a go!

This is true. I do appreciate how Wide Awake used the gazebo as their "meadow" and High Anxiety has the tree house. I mean, it's not the same concept, but plays a similar role.

Oh I don't mind them using other locations as their meeting/special spot most couples will have a favourite 'spot', (when I was younger I once dated a guy who liked to make-out parked outside the Arsenal stadium) but f u c k me! Awww, didn't mean to make you feel that way. we all have our opinions and different tastes and i totally get why many people don't like FSoG (it's no masterpiece, i agree completely). I just connected with the characters and the story (though am not into that thing, it was the first time i read Nal!

). But it opened me up to all these other stuff! I already felt naughty reading Blaze books before then this one and all the other fanfics i've read since, really opened my eyes. Then i discovered p0rn during the New Year break... And the rest is history

Re the meadow thing, i recall in the new moon movie when Aro read Alice's mind to see the future, that Bella becomes one of them. It cuts to the scene where E is chasing B in slow motion through the forrest/ meadows, i laughed out loud at that one. So cheesy and the clothes they were wearing, B in some dress with a cardigan, and that look on her face like she was constipated but trying to smile while running and glancing back at E? Yeah, hilarious! When i rewatch twilight, i fast forward the meadow scene as well. Plus, Am a neat/dirt freak, you won't catch me sitting down on grass, let alone lying down on it. If they do it, i will always wonder if an ant, caterpillar or some other insect will crawl on them to bite them, cause an allergic reaction or go up in one hole where they will breed and you'll have baby critters hatching under your skin after a few days... Yeah, am sick, right?

$:-\$ so, no meadows for me. Unless it is specifically written "he spread the plaid picnic blanket on the grass and gently laid me down on it", i couldn't get into the scene as i keep thinking about the other stuff. Same goes for beaches

Ian Creepy Eyes would be the perfect grey.

I love that name for Ian - it suits him perfectly.
