Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

Look what's new from the guy who wrote The University of Edward Masen and published it (first book in a trilogy, of course):

THE PRINCE (A Gabrielle’s Inferno – The Florentine Novella #0.5) by SYLVAIN REYNARD

The unveiling of a set of priceless illustrations of Dante’s Divine Comedy at the Uffizi Gallery exposes the unsuspecting Professor Gabriel Emerson and his beloved wife, Julianne, to a mysterious and dangerous enemy.

Unbeknownst to the Professor, the illustrations he secretly acquired years ago were stolen a century earlier from the ruler of Florence’s underworld. Now one of the most dangerous beings in Italy is determined to reclaim his prized artwork and exact revenge on the Emersons, but not before he uncovers something disturbing about Julianne …

Set in the city of Florence, “The Prince” is a prequel novella to “The Raven,” which is the first book in the new Florentine Series Trilogy by Sylvain Reynard.

“The Prince” can be read as a standalone but readers of The Gabriel Series may be curious about the connection between The Professor’s world and the dark, secret underworld of “The Prince.”

Don't get to watch too much TV since i got my ipad so am sorry for being clueless about some series and actors in them.  :P Now, movies, that's a whole diff story!  >:D

Never heard of Ten Inch but he does look cute!
I haven't seen any Dr. Who. OBL, Glad am not the only one who hasn't watched it.
Same for The Good Wife and Outlander (don't kill me!).

JC is indeed aging quite nicely. Man, after watching Passion of Christ and bawling my eyes out, i was acting like an  for a few days. That was one powerful movie for me.

Loopy, i liked maze runner. I also watched Night at the Museum 3 and Taken 3 last weekend. They were fun as well.

RD and DD, when i get back my historical mood, will def check out your highlander recs. I recall enjoying Garwood and Lindsey's highlander books.  :)

See, i don't miss twitter when i get yummy goodness like this from their email alerts:

But man, those p0rn stars have no shame posting their poles buried in honeypots or being licked clean  :P ^-^ :D I sometimes get a heart attack scrolling through the twitter email... Music, cute dog, nice hat, then bam big dick!  :o :D :D I've learned not to open emails from twitter at work nor around my kids!

Have to say farewell for a while. Flying to Dubai for work next week and i have tons of pre-trip work and tying loose ends before i leave. Pray for my safety! It's my first time travelling to the Middle East.  :-\

See you in Feb! Laters, baby!!  :-*

Booked, do not under any circumstances take Malaysian Airlines. Fair enough they've has some really bad luck but I think 2 air disasters in one year, in less than four months, is just way too unlucky to chance it.

I've never been a DW fan, not historically or this new modern incarnation and as much as I enjoy Ten in Broadchurch I can't really claim to find him 'attractive'. Nah, just...no.  :D

Who is JC, I've never seen him before, I don't think, nor Person of Interest.

I'm really surprised at the difficulty you ladies (RDM, DD) are having making your way through the Outlander books, I read them back to back...and I have to admit I've read DIA and Voyager twice since then  :P....After Outlander? The last bit of DIA and the whole of Voyager are my favourites in the series.

I really didn't enjoy the last instalment of the Inferno series, in fact I thought it was crap; just a badly written, no plot, 'contract'/ego filler...which is a shame as I floved Gabriel's Inferno, it might have had the only 'inner voice' I actually enjoyed and didn't want to assassinate.

I am re-reading The Tutor, again! I don't know what it is about this fic that makes me keep returning to it, this must be my 5th time!! I'd hear Jonny Lang Breaking Me on my iTunes and the next thing I know I'm reading it on FFN! I need help.....I've read The Tutor more than I have Dusty!  :o

I realised last week that most of the 143 books I read last year were 99% written by female authors, what's up with that?! I have to try and mix it up this year; I've started by reading a Lee Child's, the first in the Reacher series.

So I was reading on my ereader today, when a friend of a friend (male) set down next to me to talk while we waited for our kids, I thought I turned my ereader off and set it on my lap, but apparently I didn't and when he got up I looked down and saw

"Can a penis be pretty"

Hopefully he didn't see the screen, and if he did, English isn't his first language, so maybe he didn't recognize the word? Wishful thinking.

I got this when it came out but I've still not read it yet, but I've still not got round to reading the last 2 books in Gabriel's Inferno - just another sign that my book hoarding is slightly out of control.  :D :D
Though I did read the fic and enjoyed it though it was a bit "wordy" at times.  ::)

It took me 7 months to read DIA and now im struggling with Voyager.
Rdmichey, ive read some good highlander books. You can check my read shelf, but i dont have a highlander shelf.

I will reccomend some for you anyway.

And see this is why I struggle. If I know that Book 2 in a series is just OK, I might be able to punish myself and finish it to get to the next book. But if it took you 7 months to read DIA and now you are hungup on the next book..... WHYYYYYYY would I continue?

In this case, the TV Series is tons better than the books. At least I know I am not alone. Loopy...remember this is the lady that takes 50 pages to describe the fart. Again, I will try one more time.....if I get stuck.....I will NOT continue and only watch the show.

Ten had wild sex hair in DW that looked so much better than this newest flattened hair version.  But like RP, half of my attraction to him is his personality. He can be hilarious. I saw him on that British talk show that I'm totally blanking on. Anyway, he had no problem calling some guy from an ad in a sex mag that wanted sex with Dr Who.  It was so funny.  It is really annoying me that I can picture this talk show guy with the Barbies and the dumping chair but can't remember his name.  Sigh.  :P

Graham Norton? I like Ten's wild sex hair the best, I was kinda disappointed that it was tamed when they brought him back for the 50th anniversary chair. But everything I see him in, interview wise, he's just freaking adorable. I have a thing for the tall, lanky, kinda geeky guys.

Err? How come you're taking DD's word and not mine or FFG or Kim's who have read ( well, I think Kim read 4 out of the 8) but FFG and I are up to date?   :D :D To be fair reading them all back to back might be hard going, that might be just my thing, but they are worth persevering at. Maybe keep breast with the show...when they're showing DIA then read it, then Voyeur, then Drum, etc. etc. You'll then have visual to go with the tale....Personally I like to get them all out the way before I see the adaptation, I did the same with GOT, but as you're a visuals person then.... ;)

Who wrote The Tutor? It must be good since you`ve  read it so many times  :o

Honestly, I have no idea why I've read this particular fic so many times, it is the ONLY one I've re-read so often. It's not the best written, its HS, which I'm not a particular fan of, its now around 5 years old....but it has all of the 'innocence', bright-eye, bushy tail, enthusiasm that used to make FF so great...
