Downloaded everything but the epub? I had that happen. I was able to get most of them to redownload by highlighting and selecting update. But if they are pulled you are SOL. :(

I don't know what causes it. Double check if you have the most current version of FFDL but not of Calibre.  I only update Calibre when FFDL requires it. Less issues that way.  :P
I have no idea. I only use it for completed fics. I have no idea which ones I triedto download. I don't even now how I saw that the last fic was from January 29.

I barely read fanfic anymore. But I keep dl it cause ice been doing it since 2009.
Arghhhh

I think the whole thing about pigs is that my neighbours grandson has moved in with him and when we were younger he had his foot ate by pigs, so now he has only one foot. It was his own fault though as he was tweaking on something and fell into the pen and knocked himself unconscious.

OMG! Poor kid!

Ahhh.... So even if it's downloaded from Calibre, the file can be removed??

I download into Calibre then save files into OneDrive because... Well.... I have OCD
Mine never downloaded the epub. So it was never deleted.

Well, I should have them if you need them. There have been a few good ones that have completed since then.  The best way would be to filter to one month  completed which gives you pages. 187 fics.  If you filter further to Bella / Edward only, it is only 80 fics and not quite 4 pages to Jan 31st. So though the 6 month option shows 517, it is still only 4 pages to download.

I should say I never grab anything less than 1000 words.  They are rarely worth it and usually "help me find" posts.

DD, Loopy, maybe you really should write. It will help as an outlet and with your kind of dreams, am sure the book would be an interesting read.

i have dreamt of falling, but not in a plane crash. to this day, i have a recurring dream where my cousins and i are still kids playing cops and robbers, running around our houses. i just assumed since i like action movies, it triggers me having that dream.

Well, it was kind of his own fault as he was off his face on Coke or something.
Though he's been clean ever since.

I bumped into him when I was single and we hooked up, but the one thing you don't wanna hear when sex is involved is: "Is it okay if I take my foot off before we start?"  :o :o :D :D
I don't think I stopped laughing at that, even during.  ^-^ ^-^

  • My heart is just as silent. And it, too, is yours
I've had a haunted house dream for as far back as I can remember... It'll be in various different houses, but it belongs to me in the dream. Huge mansions, small houses, familiar houses morphed together, apartments.... But there's always a ghost/entity trying to get to me (sometimes family and friends are with me) in some way... I just had this dream again last week. I always wake up terrified! They always feel very real.

When I was a kid, I used to dream that everyone in the world (but me!) had all turned into giant wasps. When I was in my 20s, I used to dream that all my teeth were crumbling in my mouth, almost like my teeth were made of Butterfinger candy bars(don't know what the UK equivalent to that is). Oddly enough, I currently have a broken tooth, and every once in a while, I can feel another piece of it crumble and break off. (getting it fixed this week!)

I think it was kind of a relief from all the other crap going on in the world. What really set it off was that a few celebrities weighed in and they have thousands or millions of followers so it just spiraled out of control.   ;D
Well, that ekind of explains this madness a little. Still weird to me though  :o Thanks  :-*

I decided to start Dusty, I'll see if I like angst or if everything else I have read has just been drama.

So I just finished Dusty this morning (as I was supposed to be getting my daughter ready for school, she was only a little late and its just nursery school).

I still don't know if I can define angst (other than the German word for fear, anxiety, trepidation) but I definitely felt it reading the last 60 or so pages.  Although I imagine it would have been worse to read as a wip, without having the next chapter immediately available sometimes.

Good story, not like anything else I have read, and sure nothing like my high school (or at least nothing I was aware of in my high school.  A kid in my freshman Spanish class would come to class smelling like pot, but it wasn't years later that I realized that is what the smell was).

Do have to wonder if the authors have ever been to the beach in the northwest though, even in northern California the water is too cold most of time to spend any amount of time in it.

When I got to the end, I kept taping my ereader to turn the page, hoping there was more.  Is the story continued in the published books? or just edited?

Ahhh, high as a kite, that explains it. But still, what a very sad thing to happen.  :(

Why would he even want to remove his foot while doing the deed?  :D :D :D But seriously, did he explain why? Am reaalllly curious bec i've never known anyone with a prosthetic leg, foot, arm or hand, let alone known someone who has done "it" with someone who had a fake limb. Please do enlighten me.  :). I know it always turns a situation like that into a comedy in movies (i.e. Deuce Bigalow  :D) but am interested in the reason why they would remove it during s.e.x.

I did have an uncle who, bec of poor blood circulation which led to gangrene, had to have part of one of his leg amputated (below the knee). But he was already 70+ yrs old at the time and didn't want a  prosthetic  anymore. Highly unlikely he would be having s.e.x at that age  :P And i could have hardly asked him  :-\

Damn it, now am thinking of Oscar Pistorius...guess with blades, he would need to remove them... ???

And i hope i don't dream about this...  :D

onebitelover - I used to have a dream about my grandmother's house (house long ago sold and gram's been dead for at least 20 years) - the attic (in my dreams) was haunted by either a ghost or malevelant entity and the door to the attic had to be kept shut at all times.  There was also a variation on that of me driving by and the windows would be eerie and there was something crazy about the house and weird things were happening.  I haven't had that dream in a long time.  Lately they seem to be either being on a boat or in a mall or wherever and not being able to find a bathroom at all, or bathrooms with no doors or doors that don't lock or dirty bathrooms.  It gets ridiculous and just keeps going on and on and I make myself wake up to stop the cycle - the other one is being somewhere where food is being served (either at a friend's house or a baked bean supper or a house where we're all eating desserts) and you keep going around the table to serve yourself and you keep eating and then keep finding new things to put on your plate - again around and around endlessly and you make yourself wake up.  The variation on that one is being at a bakery/candy shop and walking around endlessly.  There's also the local one of not being able to find Congress Street intown and I keep going around in circles and ending up on other streets other than Congress (which is a main thoroughfair for crying out loud) and you can't find a phone to call a taxi to get you off the street you are on and get you where you want to be.  Obviously some psychological problem on my part with all the endless over and over again?  I've mostly gotten over the one where I'm convinced I never graduated from college because I forgot to turn in a term paper or take an exam.  I've got the damned degree so I must have finished everything - right?

Gee thanks, Booked - you just had to bring up Oscar Pistorious - now I'll have him in my head all day.

LOL!  Ruth I have that bathroom one.  Or the only toilet around is in the middle of the street, just sitting there open to all.  I usually wake up to find my body is trying to tell me it needs to pee right now. :D  :D :D :D

For the Outlander people. Can DG get a new plot twist that doesn't involve separating Claire and Jamie?
How many times can you use the same plot twist and not be repetitive?
I'm in voyager

Ella - there's also the version of going into the restroom and finding out its unisex - or its the men's room but no one minds except you who's in need of a bathroom and there are no doors - just partitions waist level.  Weird......

I was told by my military brother about the latrines the had during the initial Iraqi conflict. Waist high tents. I thought he was joking. Because he does that. But that was all they had. No real privacy.  :P

But really I think it is just my mind telling my body you have to hold it until I can wake up enough. LOL!  I'm too old or young for plastic sheets.  ^-^

In Paraguay one of the families in my town (small town far from most everything) had a latrine that had walls made of branches that were little more than waist high.  Once while I was using it a huge snake eating a frog right by the entrance, so I climbed over the wall so as not to disturb it.  So there are advantages to short walled latrines.  While I was living there, the health ministry provided the materials for new latrines for everyone with cement floors and roofs and everything.
