Oh wow! Did it really have that many pages?  I knew it was incredibly long...  I was reading every spare second and it still took forever.  It was OH SO good though!  I think I'm going to go back and read the last chapter of the actual fic so that my mind can remember the fic that way instead of remembering .

You had me at "it's not for the faint of heart"!

The third book should definitely explore whether or not you have limits.  Despite it crossing my "limit" several times I still really liked the series.   I don't recommend it to many people though because it's a bit shocking in parts...  or, well, the whole thing!   

I love this series - can't wait for the next book to come out.
I'm looking forward to "The White Years" part of the series to start now that "The Red Years" have finished. :)I think you'll like it hun, especially as you're limits weren't pushed with TPW they aren't gonna be pushed with this series but it's good fun!! 

I need to investigate this more... I didn't realize there was a separate series about The White Years...  is it the same characters? 

I almost didn't use one, but there are some here that don't like their stories spoiled.   

 

One thing I like most about you ladies is that you are great about using the spoiler tag so as not to ruin the story for those that haven't read yet!  And the deep spoiler tags are even more awesome.  I actually clicked on the ToV one, but then when I got to the next one that said "this is really big spoiler" I decided to back out. ;-)    Can't wait to read that fic!

Have you tried sending them to amazon for conversion? You can have some formats converted by them for free, send it to your "free.kindle" address, you can find that address on your Manage Your Kindle page. Just attach the file, then put convert(nothing else) in the subject line.

You can also use a program called Mobipocket Creator. I'm running out right now, but I can walk you through that one when I get home if you're interested.

I had no idea you could do this!  I usually convert to .mobi with Calibre and then email to my kindle address.   So, can I send pdf files to the kindle address with the email subject "convert" and it will switch to mobi?   

Wide Awake is one of those stories I LOVED, but I did feel that it went on WAY too long, and a huge chunk of the last 1/4 of the story just bored me and felt unnecessary.

You know, I thought it was extremely long too...   to the point where I felt like it even repeated some things over and over, but I thought it sort of added to the feeling of the book somehow.   Maybe showing more depth or something?  I'm awful at expressing my thoughts on books and never leave elaborate reviews because I have a hard time saying what I mean.

Speaking of long fics...  CIWA!  That was a never ending fic.  I'm afraid I might get stoned, but I actually flounced it.   I still toy with going back and finishing it, but for some reason I just couldn't get into it.   I guess you kind of have to be in the right frame of mind and find the right fic at the right time.     I wish someone would just spoil CIWA for me and tell me how it ended!  The last thing I remember really happening is

I've started that one so many times.  But I just never get past the first few chapters.  Tattooward is not one of my favs.  This is not to say I don't appreciate a good Tattoward story.  I just don't get immediately grabbed.  So if nothing else grabs me or I'm not in the mood for an angsty starting fic, I end up looking for something else. 

For me? I will put up with a lot of bad writing for an Actorward story.  Musicward is next.  Then Doctorward.  So Tattooward falls somewhere down near the middle of the pack.   I think we all have stuff we like better or worse than others. 

Though I think the fact that Bella made cool sounding cookies in Wide Awake kept me going.

I have to admit Tattooward is not one of my favourites either.  I also find that the author thinks if they are tattooed then they have to be pierced too and they end up with an abracadabra!   

I love  Actorward but, I think I have now read all the decent ones.  I also like Sportsward and a well written Copward/Agentward.

And yes, the cookie names were so great!  What a unique addition to this story!

I always love this part...  finish a fic and now I get to decide what to read next!  Remember how I said I liked to swap between fics and real books?  Well, I think I've been sucked in and may abandon real books for a while!   Vampward has been calling me!

After being so distraught over Wide Awake, I guess I need something just a tad lighter (and maybe shorter).   It's hard to tell from the summaries, but I'm thinking maybe ARS might be the lightest of these?  I'd love opinions! Not sure how many of you are vampward fans though.  I like fics that make me laugh and also swoon!

Do Antiques Roadshow - it is very sweet and not too long, but well written.  I really enjoyed it and it will give you a break between angsty stories.   It is not overly fluffy though.
