I'm on a bit of a knicnort3 kick atm - finished re-reading Against the Odds and now started You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login which is one of my go-to-fics, when I don't what else to read.
That and I need angst atm.
Probably coz I watched BD 2 again today (as it was released on DVD in the UK today - yay) and can't stop crying, so I might as well choose a fic that matches my mood.  :D
I also realised while watching BD 2 that I have a bit of a weird crush on Billy Burke only when he has 'tache though - coz in Red Riding Hood he didn't look right without it.  :D

No rubbish is spoken here!

I'm driving to work - in full body armour, carrying a bat and a pressure hose.

I'm going Rambo on anyone who acts like a child today - except the children.

Well, maybe even the children if the whinge !!!

 :D :D :D :D

No, no, recs are allowed and welcomed. Ficfangirl just tries to keep all requests for the name of a fanfiction over in the 152 thread as that gets a lot of traffic this one doesn't and posts aren't lost as easily as they are in this thread (where we chat constantly ;))

LOL maybe we need an off topic discussion thread, and a "we're really truly gonna discuss fics here!" thread too!

Can someone just give me the gist of And With Thee Fade Away by Derdriu oFaolain?

Is it worth reading? Angsty? Trigger warnings? HEA? Terribly non-canon? Oh, and do we get any of Edward's POV?

I don't really remember the story, I do remember thinking to avoid this author in future though, for some reason.

I'm actually posting something on topic!

My recently read list and recs:

Cliche by suzie55  -  High school fic and I liked reading it but it made me remember exactly why I hated high school. Rose was great in this one. I will be keeping it on my fav list.

The virginity pact parts 1 and 2 by herinfiniteeyes. Private high schools, cannon couples, light angst and a quick read. I probably won't read it again.

Lets talk about sex baby!  by herinfiniteeyes  -  One shot with a very awkward E & B. I actually found myself blushing a little bit while reading this which is astounding because I have been reading smut for years and years but I think it was the environment and not the s e x. It was pretty cute and I might read it again for a good giggle in the future.

 :)

Oh this fic is so good, but I do think it ended too abruptly. I think it needed more chapters, but that's just me.  ;D

I loved it, have to agree. I thought a couple more chapters would've been the perfect finish. But I still cried at the end. :D

Blue Lagoon definitely isn't one of her best fics - I actually flounced that one.

I haven't read Cliche as the summary put me off - sad, but, true.

I have never heard of the others, but, I will check them out if I ever finish re-reading Compsem101.

For those wanting to take a short break from fanfics and want to try some real books, i highly recommend R.K.Lilley's Up in the Air series:

In Flight
Mile High
Grounded

have finished the first 2 and absolutely love the characters, specially James Cavendish! *le sigh*  I wouldn't be surprised if someone starts a Christian vs. James thread somewhere once people get around to reading this new trilogy from Lilley. I like her writing style  :)  Lots of lemony goodness! Again, ladies, this is fiction, so go ahead and skip the multiple orgasms... But this is the first I've read someone doing it while on horseback!!!  :o ;) Oh so hot!!!

I completely agree!!! I'm reading only now your reply and I'm also giving you the good night :D But it's kinda strange (it's difficult writing in english this :) ) knowing that our lifes goes on in different places in the world at different time
(Please don't mind my ramblings it's just stess talking! :D )

Astro you had quite a day!

I'm preparing for the important exam I have tomorrow... I needed this little break from study :) thanks girls  :-*

I hope your exam went well. What are you studying?

My day was much quieter today - no brawls at the front gate today. Thank you all for all the positive vibes!

We do have a new, rather interesting game that the Year 2 (6/7 yo) boys are playing - "Hump Everything That Doesn't Run Away".  (My name - not their's!)

Now, I'm sure we all have days when this sounds appealing (oh dear, is that just me again?), but it's not really a good sight to see a pack of little boys going at it like jack rabbits! For some reason, they have decided to pounce on trees, the ground, each other and just hump the bejeesus out of it!

I instructed my teachers to talk to all of the students about appropriate and inappropriate behaviours for school. I don't think I would have been able to keep a straight face during that talk!

I don't know what's in the water at school, but this year the children are carrying on like a bunch of deviants! Cute deviants, very strange deviants, funny deviants, but deviants none the less.

I stand by my dictum that if the principal isn't getting any action, no one can!!!
