Just a few other friendly reminders:

Please use the subject and tags lines as follows (with no colon after UL, LINK and REQ)
When uploading a story it would be like this: UL The ABC story by author123

Are you looking for a specific fic? In the upper right hand corner is a search box with a drop down menu. Type in your search criteria and you will probably find the story has already been uploaded. If you search and can't find what you're looking for, feel free to ask. Remember that the Index to Uploaded Twilight stories always runs at least a month behind this thread. So you need to search the current month as well as the Index when you're looking for a story, especially one that has recently been pulled.

Remember - Search before you request and Search before you upload!

Let me make some other suggestions that might make your life easier. If you click the notify button (at the top or bottom of the page), you'll get an e-mail when something new is posted on the thread. You can do this for any thread you're interested in following. Also, if you bookmark the thread, when you access it through your bookmarks, it will have a little red "new" which, if you click on it, will take you to the last place you were on the thread. This also works if you access the thread through the home page (fanfict alley, then the thread). You do have to be signed in to get the benefits of the "new" button. If you go the "notify" route, you'll be accessing from your e-mail and it will take you to the post that you received the notification on.

Hi guys! I am looking for an older story that I know got pulled from fanfic but I’m hoping some one has the pdf. Not sure if it was complete or not. Bella had a kid with Edward but didn’t tell him, years later her mother convinced her to have a second baby buy she doesn’t want her kids to have different dads so she tracks down Edward and seduces him believing that he is still an asshole but then she finds out he’s actually really nice and at some point he finds out about the kid and the pregnancy. If y’all could please help that would be amazing.

Hey everyone! I could use some help finding a specific story I’ve been in a mood to re-read.

Jasper/Bella pairing
Jasper has been undercover in the Cullen house as part of a Volturi sting operation after the Cullen diet lead to the deaths of nearly all who tried it and some slip ups that required massive coverups. There was a trial and the evidence against the Cullens was pretty horrific. Jasper brings Bella to Volterra before the trial and they are mates but I can neither find the story in my favorites or remember the title or author and I’ve been looking for nearly a week. Can anyone help?

I always start by asking the author first and as long as I agree not to post it or share it (especially since it’s an older version of their work) they have almost always been willing to do so (if they didn’t delete the original story file on their computer.) I did have one author who was too embarrassed by a very old story to agree but in my experience at least, most were willing.
Try sending a private message and explain that you liked the original better and why, this will also give the author feedback that is extremely helpful. My own stories were made infinitely better by the small group of pre-readers I invited to read my story before posting it so they could provide constructive criticism. I learned some very valuable lessons that I am able to apply to stories I’ve worked on since And as long as it’s constructive and not mean-spirited most authors are grateful. An author is far more likely to agree to share an old version of a story if they know WHY you want it and you explain it’s only for personal use and agree immediately not to post it. Since I don’t post my stories until they’re done and I’ve never completely re-done one of my stories either I’ve never been on the receiving side of this but I’ve been the asking reader many, MANY times. I spoke with one author who started completely changing a story because she had a reviewer that something and she wanted to please all of the readers so she was trying to change what anyone said they didn’t like the story. We messaged back and forth for days and it convinced her not to change her work based on the whim or every reader review. What makes some readers upset, inthralled others. (I don’t think I’ve looked at this authors stories any time recently but for all you know, she could be in the same position.)

So message the author. The worst they can say is no and then you’re no worse off then you are right now.

Summary:
