I read this many years ago and need help identifying: Renee was a recluse who lived in a cabin up in the mountains, even had groceries delivered. Unknown to anyone, she had twin girls, but she didn't interact with or acknowledge them.  They...or at least Bella lived - maybe behind a mirror or curtain and up in the attic and did not speak? When they were little, she would play with her twin out by the creek, but her twin died. Bella was too young and didn't know any better -maybe thought she was asleep - and put her twin's body in an alcove in the creek bank and put daisies on her eyes. Years later, Renee also died and when people found her body in the cabin - she had daisies on her eyes, leading them to believe someone else was there. Social services got involved - (Edward) and eventually, (adult) Bella was found hiding but was lacking knowledge in virtually everything and needed to be taught. In the long process, he fell in love with her. ~~~ I have searched numerous times and...nothing. This was so well-written, unique and unusual, I would love to read again.

98% sure this was pulled a long time ago. I remember it was loosely based on the Jodie Foster movie, Nell. I doubt this helps but its something. lol

Aww, I didn't know that! It's just sad when fics get pulled & you have no way to read them, but it's definitely the author's right to do so when they decide to. I had an external drive with all of my favorite fics on it, but it died a few weeks ago & I was just saving a few fics I could remember that were on it:/

ISO... I remember very little about this fic. It's an older fic, maybe 10-12 years, if not more. I may get some of the details confused, but here goes...

I remember Edward having a drug problem. He and Bella breakup and he leaves town, but he still loves her. Somehow Edward gets involved with James and Victoria. James, I think, runs an adult production company. James has Edward start doing scenes/movies with Victoria. I think Victoria gets pregnant and the baby could belong to Edward since he and Vic have sex off screen too. They use each other to ease their pain, but come to care about each other too as friends. She also has sex with James. Edward tells Vic about Bella and how much he misses her, but I don't think he ever says her name. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Bella has his baby too, and that's one of the reasons he leaves because he knows he won't be any good for a child with his drug addiction - Not positive on this part tho. It seems like he would call Bella every so often to check in with her. He would never tell her where he was or what he was doing. He was ashamed of her finding out he did adult films. Edward finally goes to rehab and Bella comes to see him. They get back together. At some point after he and Bella get back together Edward falls off the wagon, and his family supports him to get clean again.

One scene Bella is visiting Edward in rehab. They're sitting at a table and it seems like Victoria shows up to visit him too. I think this is when Edward finds out Victoria is pregnant and it could be his baby.

This part may be from another fic -- Their daughter is graduating high school and she's giving a speech. She speaks about her father (Edward), how proud she is of him for overcoming his addiction and fighting it every day to be a better person for his family.


MORE INFO: I think Edward was in Port Angeles when he was hiding from Bella and doing NOT ALLOWED with Victoria for James. James use to give Edward and Victoria drugs to so he could kinda control them by feeding their additions.

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted here so please forgive any blunders.

My daughter recently introduced me to the BRIDGERTON series and it got me jonesing for a TWILIGHT fic set in the Regency (I think) period of England. Bella and Her dad Charles have been thrown out of their mansion because overseer James absconded with a great deal of their money. Charlie (I can’t call him ‘Charles’ again) is slipping into dementia so Bella does her best to keep them afloat. A handsome and wealthy young man buys the property and starts visiting his tenants. As he comes upon Bella fixing the cottage roof, he startles her and causes her to fall off the ladder. Of course she is saved from injury by the dashing new owner whose name is (surprise, surprise) Edward. Unbeknownst to them, demented Charlie comes upon them and insists on a shotgun wedding. They go to the registrar/vicarage (don’t remember which) where Bella explains that her dad has lost it and she does not expect him to go through the marriage. For some reason, Edward insists on getting married and their new life begins in Bella’s former residence.

I hope this sounds familiar to someone because I’d love to read this story again! Thanks ever so much!
