High Anxiety is a Non-HEA? I remember reading as a WIP but don't remember it not being HEA. ???

I think the epilogue is the problem.

Plus, I think some of these non-HEA are subject to interpretation.  Like Dusty...and The Elusive Mr. Cullen.

I just finished reading this and I'm a bit mad that I wasted my free morning reading a non HEA fic, and god that ending. I don't know why I did not see it comming, i sometimes read the last bit of the last chapter just to make sure its a HEA, but for some reason I didn't for this one. :(

I read this last year and wanted to scream at the end of it. This fic was one of the rare times that I started reading it without checking the last few chapters first (which I normally always do as I need to know if a book or fic is a HFN/HEA), I could see what was going to happen by the end before it actually happened but kind of hoped that the author was going to steer in a direction.  :'(

I think Dusty's and The Elusive Mr. Cullen's ending is kind of perfect for the type of fics they are, but I know nearly everyone here probably doesn't agree.
I was reading a book last week and finished mid-sentence which I thought was a good way to end the book but I know about 99% of peeps reviews I've read on GR don't agree.

So I totally agree with FFG that some of the fics Booked listed are totally subjective to what you like for a HEA.

Yeah, i prefer HEA that's clear i.e. They live happily ever after, TOGETHER.  :P With the way my mind thinks, i might assume the worst, so there goes my HEA  :-\

Watching the Superbowl.  It's being played a couple of miles from my house.  When the planes flew over the stadium as part of the opening show, it sounded like they flew directly over my house.  Since neither team is a Texas team, I've chosen which team to support purely on political grounds.  The coach and QB for the NE Patriots are vocal Trump supporters, so I'm rooting for the Atlanta Falcons.  Based on the current score, I've made the right choice.  However, I don't want to count my chickens too soon.

BTW, the foregoing comments are not intended to start a political discussion here.  I know we all want to keep this a happy place.  Feel free to support whichever team you want for whatever reason you want, or ignore the whole silly spectacle altogether.

HEA in general versus HEA for B/E is the issue.  There are a lot of HEA out there where they both end up with others. And if you don't care that B/E aren't together? They are great.

I've actually enjoyed a few of them, but then I usually dislike Edward or Bella by the end of the story.  :P

Have not been keeping track for a while but here's my list of Non-HEA, ExB

The Elusive Mr. Cullen
Toye
Twice in a lifetime singer
Incubus anomaly
Jagged turns and twisted fate
Open up next to you
Eden burning
Tempt my tongue
In place no one will find
Amazing grace
What's done cannot be undone
The space between
High anxiety
Mens REA a guilty mind
A delicate line
My life without me
Carpe Noctern & Fiat Lux
Ready made family
Dusty
Figmentum
Carvaggio
Babydoll
Every time I see the title "Twice in a Lifetime Singer"  my first thought is, that person doesn't understand the singer vs. mate.  Singers are usually dead pretty quickly.  But they don't have to be a singer to be a mate.

Thanks for keeping this list Booked!

I live in "the rest of California that is not San Francisco or the LA/OC basin"  My vote doesn't count.  They called the state before I even voted.  I pretty much don't care, they are all bad.  But remember, Congress makes the laws. And Congress mostly listens to the people who put them in office - all those corporations and special interest groups. It is a mess that only works because no one can agree on anything. If they ever start agreeing, we may be in big trouble.   ;D

That said, I was rooting for Atlanta, because New England are known cheaters and it really bugs me that they keep winning.  Unfortunately, Atlanta's defense ran out of energy in the 4th quarter.  They did so well up until then.  >:(

Try the mobile version.  I usually have better luck with it. And it is working on my phone.

I was just about to ask that. I tried to open it but told me it no longer existed or that I no longer have acess.

When I tried it last week I could only get in through the mobile version. Click on that and it brings it up.

Interesting.  I just tried to bring up the non-mobile version and at first it said I didn't have permission for the files in Google Drive.  Then it says they are in the owner's trash.  Maybe she decided since she wasn't updating she should just remove them?

I have copies of the majority of the spreadsheets.  Not so much the non-B/E ones. But the others.  A lot of the stories have been pulled and a number have never been finished.  I guess I could load them on the other thread if they totally disappear off of Google.

Someone on another board was asking if the author of Words With Friends also published original fic? I knew that author was Nolebucgrl, but I'm not sure if she writes original stuff? Does anyone here know, and what her pubbed name is? Thanks!

Never mind, I think I found it!

Yes, it's on her FFN profile. Code Red, but I don't know if she published anything else.

Apparently she published another book The Hot Corner.

Thank you! I didn't think until I hit post that she probably had the info on her ff.net profile, doh! I'm more used to AO3, so I forget that they put a lot more info on their profiles on ff.net.

Who's watched 50 shades darker and what did you think.

BTW were there any major changes from MoTU and the 50 shades books?

I saw it yesterday and enjoyed it.  Although I've read the story both as Master of the Universe and as 50 Shades Darker, I don't remember all the details, so can't give you the blow by blow.  However, they definitely captured the gist of the story.  The writer of the screenplay is E.L. James' husband, so you know he was faithful to her vision.

I haven't logged on in months, volunteer jobs that end up taking more time than paid jobs have sucked up all my free time, and the only fic I have read was the one I started on our trans-atlantic flights at Christmas and I still haven't gotten a chance to finish it.

But I had to see what y'all thought of the new 50 shades of grey movie.  I haven't read the fic, the book or seen the first movie, and have no plans to, but I still want to know.

It was really meh to me (granted, I wasn't that big a fan of the books or first movie. I got to watch it for free so I thought why not, lol).

I think it was a bit choppy. I think they could have omitted a few things (Ana's Skype with her friends, Mia shopping for a tie for Christian, some of the random walking scenes) to spend a bit more time fleshing out more important parts (the scenes just after the crash, basically everything to do with Elena and Leila).

I also feel like they sacrificed some dramatic tension by wrapping up all of the conflicts too quickly. I think the first movie was more successful in this; better edited and paced.

Visually, FSD looked much better than FSoG. Dakota's hair looked better longer and Jamie looked a lot more fit (maybe only in my eyes). They also did a much better job with wardrobe.
