I’ve been using Fanfictiondownloader for years and recently tried to do the update it says is there when I open it, but when I try to reach the page to install it the page says Loading...Please wait and nothing. It didn’t bother me much until today when the old version stopped working for me.

I want to download a few stories, so I am lost.

I’ve looked at ficsave, but I am uncomfortable with their homepage mentioning bitcoin - I don’t want to risk downloading malware.

Anyone know what’s happening with FFDL?

I use Calibre with FanFicFare and have no problem. Maybe see if they have a stand alone version that you could use?

I finally got the old version to work - rebooted my laptop - and accessed the page from my iPad and sent them an email.  Thanks for the suggestion, I’ve tried Calibre before and just prefer the simplicity of FFDL.

Got a message "Account Suspended" for Starslibrary.net. Is it the beginning of the end for the former TWCS site?? I really hope not, but for those with accounts and favorites list, I would recommend grabbing everything and downloading it.

I was on there two hours ago with no problem, but just in case I think I’ll download any favorites I don’t have already.

Should we together save all the stories there just in case if someday that web page
come to an end??  :021:
If that starslibrary.net starts to work again?

Everyone would save either a certain amount pages or we make a list of writers to
safe??
This Twilight fandom will be come to an end someday, and all the wonderful
stories disappear from internet.

I have to reread the All Souls Triology before I can watch it.

I just have to finish the book I had just started when I found out about the show (and new book) and not reread "Take the Ice" again. Today I my 7 year old daughter to watch one of her friends skate in a competition and it whenever I watch figure skating I get sucked into rereading that fic.

Sorry!!   :o :o

Become absorbed in reading the book, so I forgot answer.   :D :D

Now is the whole book series read and it was really good.  :)
I did not throw away time reading it.

All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness

HBO started the series A Discovery of Witches.
Before the series progressed further I think I have to read that book series first, because many times when I have seen either movie or tv series first I will not read the book.
Now I will be sure I read again this book series,  it was really well written.  :)

" quote is from book  - The Book of Life [All Souls Trilogy 3] -  chapter 15 "  :D :D

So jealous! I have to wait until January, but am happy that I get to binge watch all the episodes at once :)

I was at a book signing last night with the author, I just love her so much!!

Hubs and I binged watched this last week and then got upset when we had to wait a week.
I take it the books are good ? I haven't read them.
Adult or  YA ?

Damn - all my gifs in my siggy's are gone.

I've enjoyed them, as have those here who've admitted to reading the books.  The descriptions of their physical relationship are pretty tame.  How did you binge watch?  I thought it wasn't released in the US yet.

We've been having site issues, so that may be why your pics are gone.

I'm a first-time poster here so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place. I've been reading fanfiction for at least 7 years now and I'm struggling to find new stories to read. I would love to hear what your very favorite stories are. I'm not very picky so any type of storyline or character pairing work for me. Thank you in advance!

Aww hun, I totally know how you feel about not being motivated to exercise.  :(

Happy belated birthday to your daughter, hope that she had a great day.  :-*

My eldest turned 20 last month and the first thing I said to her when she answered the phone was "I'm too young to have a 20 year old!" and then I started to cry.  ^-^ :D
Whereas the hubby loves telling peeps that he has a daughter in her 20's and 2 grandkids and that he's only 31 as it tends to freak them out.  ::)

Drotuno hasn't updated in a while so the latest Gravity fic hasn't finished yet. I'm waiting until it does so I can re-read the whole series. I'm like you, I don't read fics as much as I used to, but every now and again I get stuck on what to read so I do a re-read of a fic I like/love just to cleanse the pallet and start on pub'd books again.

Thanks! We all had dinner at an all you can eat buffet....yeah, that will really help me lose weight...  :-\ :P
Well, i made a resolution to wake up at 5 am to go on the treadmill for at least 30 mins, 3 times this week. I hope i can stick to this as i really hate my sluggishness now bec of the pounds i’ve gained. Keeping my fingers crossed.

You and your hubs are so funny! Just embrace it! We all age but as long as we are still young at heart, we will always feel “young” and age will just be a number..that you eventually count backwards hahaha. Don’t you like being called “the cool mom” bec you can relate more to your daughter’s friends?

Ok good, i didn’t miss it then. No wonder i couldn’t find it in Ella’s drive. Gosh, i hope Drotuno will finish it. Am really looking  forward to it. I also saw on FB that Nolebucgrl is writing a fic for “to all the boys i’ve loved before”. Wanna read that when it’s finished too.

I have heard good things about the Keto diet for weightloss. Maybe you could try that? I watched a documentary on Netflix called The Magic Pill and it was about this diet. It was pretty good. As soon as I can afford to, I plan to give the Keto diet a try. Plus the hubby and I are going to get new gym memberships after the new year.

As soon as I can afford to, I plan to give the Keto diet a try. Plus the hubby and I are going to get new gym memberships after the new year.

As a chef I eat A LOT. And just about anything. A lot of people asks me what I do, since I have the same weight since forever: you have to change your relationship with food. Diets tend to enforce you a new habit. The biggest problem? You don't get to chose those new habits and they're mostly impossible to keep forever and/or in social situations. You'll give up on them.

You have to be proud of whatever it is that you eat. You have to love your food, not only because it's greasy or because you're sad and just need it. You have to love it because you REALLY made it (without opening a lot of packages). Sometimes, I'm craving a chocolate cake and I go bake one myself. It takes a lot of work and a lot of time. It's not instant gratification and most of the time, after those 2 hours I needed to bake the cake, I don't crave it anymore. I'll still eat cake, but after knowing the amount of butter inside of it, I won't want to eat more than a piece right before going to bed. And on the next day, my husband will take the rest of the cake to share with his coworkers. If the idea of making whatever it is that I want seems too much, it's because I don't want it that much. We work hard for things we want, right? ;) Most of the time, opening a package is too simple and too fast, so we eat without thinking or needing.

I value food and I simply don't eat anything that it's not worth it. I won't eat a Burger King because let's face it? It's not that good. If I want a hamburger, I will go eat it somewhere worth the calories. But of course, it'll be more expensive and not so easy, so I naturally eat less of it. And also, the biggest advantage of valuing food is loving an avocado as much as french fries. Each food have it's time on my life and REALLY changing habits makes me crave a good salad because I'll feel sick if I eat too much junk food.

START COOKING! Learn about your food. Read all the labels. Don't eat anything you don't know what it is or doesn't know how to pronounce. Watch all netflix documentaries about food. Try to understand the amount of work and time it takes for the food to go to your plate. Don't buy a lot of worthless cheap food, but better food that you'll eat less - but just the amount you actually need.

One exemple of how we don't value food? Most people say that organic food is too expensive. And of course it is and if you have a big family with a tight budget, probably you won't be able to afford it. But every time we have a little bit more money, we will get a more expensive car, clothes and even a more expensive health care plan. When do we think it's acceptable to pay more for quality vegetables?
