Hey, hoping someone can help me remember the book:
The theme is somehow similar to Sandra Brown's Low Pressure.
The heroine's sister was murdered when they were small and she'd gone back home for closure (can't remember where like LP she'd also written a  book). If I remember correctly, it turned out that the murderer was one of their friends who was fixated by her sister (and I think he also assaulted her). In modern day the killer was a think the mayor or some local leader or someone in authority and I think he was still a predator. The setting was in a swampy region / near a river/forest (maybe Louisiana?). I think the murdered sister was about 8 - 12 yrs old. Also iirc when the heroine came back to her old town no one wanted her back, and only the hero supported her. I think she'd rented a cabin/old house or something.
While Low Pressure is not per se similar, the undertones are similar.

Hello, I believe the story you are looking for is “Quarterback Sneak” by jayhawkbb.

Ok so I want to write a fanfic, however I never written an entire series before and I'm new to the whole writing scene, so I looked up advice on how to write good fanfic, problem is every advice I could find only gives the most basic of writing advice and nearly everyone says to never ever do self insert fics. (Which btw I want write)

The fanfic is supposed to be titled something along the lines of "the hero of 1000 stories".

The structure is supposed to be modeled after shonen anime with each chapter being an episode.

The basic idea of the fanfic I want to write is it's supposed to at the begining follow my self insert oc and his Pikachu as they hop into the worlds of various franchises where they become involved in the plots of each franchise. Ie they might be in the pokemon universe for about 10 chapters then be in the nightmare on elm street universe for 3 chapter and then be in the Harry Potter universe for 20 chapter etc.

As the story gets longer however it bleeds into a story about the universes of every franchises ever merging with our world which results in a whole mess of chaotic shi* and a justice league like organization called "the patheon" (the name isn't decided)
