amc's The Walking Dead
« on: September 26, 2012, 06:29 AM »
The Walking Dead, one of the best show's on tv, is returning Oct. 14. What do you think will happen in season 3? Are you stoked Merle is back, and where the heck has he been? Anyone else think Daryl Dixon is the baddest mo-fo on the planet? Which cast members do you think will become zombie snacks this season?

The comics deviate alot from the show ( Daryl and Meryl aren't in the comics) so I have no idea what that reunion will be like. Will Meryl be angry with Daryl for becoming a big part of Rick's group? Will he try to take revenge on Rick for leaving him on the rooftop, and will Daryl let him? Will he stay with the people from the prison (Rick's group) or will he feel obligated to stay with his brother at Woodbury? How will the group react to seeing Andrea at Woodbury and will they think she was in on Glen and Maggie's kidnapping and torture? I have like a million more questions that I hope will be answered Sunday night. >:D

Today's the big day! I am so excited for tonight but also sad because I know it'll be amazing and there will be some crazy stuff that happens at the end that'll leave us hanging until February!!

I honestly wouldn't mind a bit if Daryl shot Merle dead when he finds everything out but this is TV and that won't happen. I'm not that lucky.  :D
I'm not a hoarder... Ok, maybe a digital hoarder. But that's not bad right?

Mechonne is gonna find the Governor's daughter! I am soooo looking forward to finding out how that ends up. Like I said earlier.. I have so many questions and I hope they answer most of them tonight. Okay.. gotta get back to my marathon. Cheers! P.S. this thread is gonna be hot after tonight's finale, I'm sure we will have PLENTY to discuss! >:D

I'm so glad they decided to bring in Tyreese from the comics to the show. He's a major zombie but kicker. Poor Rick, guess he's still feeling kinda guilty about offing Shane. Anybody else think Carl is becoming a lil Daryl-ish (lol) he just pops Walkers like its nuthin'. Andrea is seriously gettin' on my last nerve. I totally wanna toss her to the Walkers. The big brawl between Michonne and the Governor was freakin' epic! I'm just loving her more and more. But I kinda felt bad for the Governor, having to watch his daughter get killed again he really freaked out. I am so glad the new season starts back up in Feb. I can't wait! >:D

I'll join your little chat as i am absolutely in love with the series, can't remember when the series has been this popular, i even played the PC game Walking Dead by Telltale Games which is set in the period before the comic starts, if anyone is interested there are youtube clips of the game it is very engaging and interactive game and feels like you are watching animated movie you are directing lol
I watch talking dead from time to time but nothing in particular is really revealed there that most people can not read about or realise themselves.

It is interesting how the show deviates from the comics but it ties into it as well (loosely) so you can not predict what is going to happen but can see options for the future story, as the comic is much more advanced into the story since it started a decade ago.

I have read that Robert Kirkman will introduce the character of Daryl into the comic due to his popularity, since the character is the original for the series only, and that will be interesting to see how it will develop into the comic story.

February is quite far away for now, but i am patient, I have few ideas as to how the story will develop. There is a guy on youtube doing quite good reviews and predictions.

Don't be too harsh on Andrea, sometimes our needs and illusions of a better place, blinds a person to a truth, and she will start seeing much more clearly in the coming episodes.

I know, I know, I'm trying to like Andrea I really am but she makes it soooo darn hard to (lol). Comic book Andrea I liked but tv show Andrea, not so much. I understand she's trying to make a good situation out of a bad one (Zombie Apocalypse) but every time I see her with the Governor as well as when she was with Shane I start thinking of that Waylon Jennings song "Looking For Love" in all the wrong places. It's like by the time she sees that these guys she's falling for are bat crap crazy, I'm like " and you're JUST figuring this out"? The way she treated Michonne was messed up also. This woman has taken care of you for 6 mos. throughout the entire winter making sure you don't become zombie chow and you just can't believe her when she tells you something ain't right about the Governor and his loony bin town? I don't know but I'd trust someone like Michonne before I would have trusted the Governor. I realize she's starting to put the pieces together and will eventually figure out the Guv ain't Mr. Right, I just want her to get there a lil faster (lol).  I've sort of started thinking of the show and the comics as seperate entities, the same but different. Which is good and bad. I like that thinkgs are't exactly the same being we wouldn't have Daryl and Meryl. Anyways, love the show and will continue to watch. >:D

I haven't read the thread because I'm not entirely caught up on the series. I've watched seasons 1 and 2 but haven't been able to watch the 3rd yet. I have downloaded the comics to read though.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, there is a marathon of all 3 seasons starting at 8 a.m. central time on Dec 31 on AMC.

Man. Watched the premiere last night. still trying to process everything cause alot happened. Daryl and Meryl re-united and Daryl left the group ( soooo hoping a Walker eats Merle's other hand) lol. I just kept saying to myself Noooo Daryl dont leave the group needs you since Rick went all bat stuff crazy. Yeah Rick is quickly becoming unhinged like the lights are on but nobody's home crazy. Just hoping he doesnt start putting the group in even more danger. Who's crazier The Guv or Rick? Glenn and Maggie having serious relationship problems was kinda hard to watch them struggling with all that happened to them at Woodbury. Andrea I'm still on the fence about her I mean she kinda gets that the Guv is a douche but she still wants to stay with him. That girl has issues big time. I know I'm kinda rambling but still trying to process everything. Can't wait for another dust up between the Woodbury crazies and Rick's people. Come Back Daryl!!!

I just watched the premiere  :omg: :o

I was so freakin' pissed when Daryl went off with Merle :( I hope he finds his way back to the group and Merle finds himself dead. Rick is one step on the train to Crazyville and he doesn't seem to care. I really don't like Andrea right now even if she's seeing her surroundings with 'new eyes' because she's still kissing the Gov.'s ass.

I will say that one walker that pulled back that metal sheet to get into the Woodbury was looking rather kickass! ;D

I have the watch the episode again, I can already tell that this next couple episodes are going to be great.

I just got a feeling this season is gonna be soooo epic! Poor Rick has totally gon coocoo crazy but I hope he can pull it together so that they can kick some  Woodbury butt. They really need Daryl tho cause all they have are crazy Rick, one legged Hershel 3 girls, lil man Carl ( he's kick-ass, but still a kid) and the one prisoner dude who thought Carol was a lesbian. (lol) They need Daryl's muscle and deadly cross bow stat. Omg I almost forgot Glenn and Michonne but she's not really a memeber of the group so that's iffy. Glenn's good but he ain't no Daryl. I too am part of the I Hate Andrea club. She just irks me to no end. Can't wait for the next episode! >:D

Last night's episode of the Walking Dead had me doing something I never thought I would do.. feeling sorry for Andrea! (gasp) I mean really I haven't liked her at all since the first season and I never thought I would but after last night I'm reluctantly a fan. She tried in last week's episode "Clear" to broker a peace deal between Rick and The Governor and just wanted everyone to just get along. Not happening, but she tried. When she finally realized the Guv was gonna wipe out Rick's group at the prison she went on a mad dash to try and save them. i mean girl friend was trucking through fields and plains and all while dodging zombies and the One- Eyed Crazy Man ( Governor). We got to see a little of Andrea's and Michonne's time together before they got to Woodbury which was kinda cool, I love a lil backstory action now and then. When Andrea finally reached the prison with the Governor hot on her heels I was like YES  then the Gov. grabbed her and I was like NOOOOO... SHE WAS SO CLOSE. now she's locked up in the Governor's torture room. I know she's wishing she had off'ed him when she had the chance. Next week guess I'll be wearing my "TEAM ANDREA" t-shirt right under my "Daryl Dixon 4 President" hoodie. (lol). :D

OMG Tart you are gonna luv the first three episodes, especially "Clear" (my Fav). The Walking Dead is definitely one of those shows you must have on dvd and watch over and over again! I was thinking of having a Walking dead viewing party for the season finale (yes I'm geeky like that) lol. Anyways, happy viewing! :)

Oooh Lordy! I absolutely loved Clear and Arrow on the Doorpost  :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg:
I really loved Michonne and Carl's moments in Clear, it was so sweet. I think Milton and Andrea are getting some sense a little too late but I feel so bad for Andrea :( The governor is just bat shit crazy! But hey the war has started between the two groups, finally!

This show is getting so good coming down to the end of this season. I can't wait to see how it unfolds in the last two episodes!

"Clear" has to be the best episode so far this season.. Arrow on the Doorpost close second. We got to see a softer side of Michonne also she was hilarious when she was talking to Rick about him seeing dead people! They had a Dr. Phil moment (lol). Daryl got a new crossbow ( heard Norman Reedus actually takes it home with him after each shoot). They got a face to face with some of the Woodbury folk which was funny the way Daryl and Martinez were trying to one up each other by showing off their Walker killing prowess. I don't think the Governor is going to keep Milton around much longer now that he knows he's the one who torched his Biters. I'm sorta liking Milton now that he's grown a pair. How the heck did the Governor escape all those Walkers in the warehouse.. I mean there were ALOT of them. Guess you gotta be a special kinda crazy to make it outta there virtually unscathed.  :-\

Last night's episode "This Sorrowful Life" was fantastic. Last week's episode "Prey" had me begrudingly liking Andrea and now ( gasp) I actually felt really bad for Merle. Yeah he was a douche and a racist prick but he really loved his lil brother and ultimately redeemed himself (somewhat). He was sooo close to taking out the Governor but Ben blocked his shot... damn u Ben whats-his-face lol. i think Merle knew he would never trully be accepted by Rick's people ( especially Maggie and Glenn). The convo he had with Michonne in the car was very enlightening to both how Michonne and Merle saw themselves. When she told him no one would mourn his death.. not even Daryl I was like wow maybe she's right. The brawl between Merle and the Governor was gritty and dirty ( man he bit off 2 of his fingers). My heart dropped and shattered when Daryl finally meets up with his brother only to find he was now a Walker. I seriously got misty eyed watching him struggling with what he would have to do, kill Merle. The way he just sobbed and broke down on the grass like that I almost had to turn away from watching it. So raw and painfull. Next week's season finale should be epic! P.S. Wow I almost forgot Glenn and Maggie's engagement! That was totally sweet but kinda gruesome the way he chopped off the Walker's finger to get the ring (lol). Hope he cleaned it before giving it to Maggie! LMAO. :D
