Song to Books Game
« on: November 18, 2011, 01:53 PM »
Have you ever start reading a book then halfway though it you start singing a song that relates with it. I do all the time.

Post a book and then write the web address to a song that relate to it, so we go and listen to it!!!

I go first
Book: Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Song: Me Against The World by Simple Plan

Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
I can't help but think of the song Bad News by One Call whenever I read a scene about Ridley and Link. It fits too much!

Here are my recommendations. I don't sing them but they remind me of the characters.
The Mortal Instruments series - Jace and Clary
Can You Hear Me - Poets of the Fall
(I don't know why, but whenever I hear that song, I think about Jace and Clary)

The Twilight series - Bella and Edward
All the way/4U - Poets of the Fall
(This song could belong to so many pairs that I have lost count. However, when I was told that it was supposed to be used in Twilight, but was later removed, I always think of them when I hear it.)

Sing Me To Sleep - Derek and Beth
Cradled in Love - Poets of the Fall
(This one was a tough choice between 'A Walk To Remember' by Nicholas Sparks and 'Sing Me To Sleep' by Angela Morrison but I felt 'Sing Me To Sleep' was more suitable.)
Have you checked this out yet?

Wrath to Butch: That's you. You shall be called the Black Dagger warrior Dhestroyer....
Rhage: But you'll always be Butch to us, as well as hard-ass. Smart-ass. Royal pain in the ass... I think as long as there's an ASS in there, it'll be accurate.
Zhadist: How about bASStard?

^LOL :P

Book: Just The Way You Are by Barbara Freethy
Song: I Can't Make You Love Me/Nick of Time by Bon Iver

I felt it. I really did! Though like Lady Crawley, I imagine the girl singing it. I know there's a Bonnie Raitt version, but this I just LOVE!

I finally get a bouquet and it's a goodbye present. That's depressing.

Sometimes I'll hear a song and think: "That would fit real well for a music video for a particular movie/TV show."  Does anyone else do that? :)
