Author Topic: Cannot download fanfics from AO3 via Fanficfare onto Calibre  (Read 14320 times)

Offline Caro

For the last 2 days I have been unable to download or update exciting fanfics from AO3 via Fanficfare onto Calibre.  It keeps demanding that I state I am am adult, even when I do it will not update stating that I am not an adult.  I have changed nothing in configure FFF  and my Archive looks like

[archiveofourown.org]
## tth is a little unusual--it doesn't require user/pass, but the site
## keeps track of which chapters you've read and won't send another
## update until it thinks you're up to date.  This way, on download,
## it thinks you're up to date.
username:XXXXXXXX
password:XXXXXXXX
is_adult:true

I have tried changing it to #is_adult:true but that has made no difference either.

I either get  "Story requires confirmation of adult status:" or "NoneType' object has no attribute 'find'".

I am fully updated in Calibre 4.13 and updated FFF today.n  It has made no difference.

Can someone help.   Please bare in mind I am about as technically minded as a door knob. Many thanks

Did you get the new fanficfare plug-in update?  After you get the new plug-in update, go into your personal.ini under Configure fanficfare, go into edit personal.ini.  Scroll down to defaults and make sure there are no hashtags in front of is_adult:true and save it.  If it asks another question, click on save anyway.

That fixed it for me.

Thank you for your response. I eventually found out that I was not the only one having the problem.  After the 3rd update pluggin all has gone back to normal.  What a relief.
