Although the version of SMF used here is antiquated, the software is very functional... for those struggling to navigate and find Recently added, this is how you do it

from the home page click show unread posts, its up at the top just below your username

then scroll down and choose all unread topics in the second blue bar

If you go through and either open those, or check the box all the way to the right and choose mark selected as read you will have a functioning list of recently added
