My friend read a book in the 80s and she cant remember what it was called. Its about the young twin (possibly conjoined) girls around age 10. They were evil and one had powers. It seemed like a sci fi book and had a very dark cover. She read about half of it so she doesn't remember how it ends. The girls were locked in an institution and tested on, the employees had to use passwords to get around. Anything would be helpful, thanks.

Im positive this book is from a series. Romantic suspense perhaps?? The woman needed help and went to this agency but they turned her away.. forgot why maybe because she was associated with the enemy. I only remember this part, a scene when the woman was bruised and bloody and out of all the places, she drove to the headquarters of said agency that turned her away.. the guys there saw her and helped her...  :(  I'm pretty sure this was only published a couple of years back. Not that so long ago.

Hey! Trying to remember the name of this book i read a few years ago

Its Contemporary Romance/Romantic Suspense. I'm relatively certain its part of a series. I remember the starting of the book really well but i don't remember the rest of the story . The hero owns a security firm along with two of his friends both of whom are now married ( i think their stories came first in the series. One is married to this really smart women. Accountant or something. The other is married to a world class pianist. I'm not a hundred percent sure of these details though) So the book starts out with the heroine waiting in the reception of this firm the heroes own , nervous as hell. As it turns out she just found out that she is the long lost sister of one the heroes and she has come to tell him hoping he will accept her. He thought she died when his father /stepfather threw her against a wall and killed their mother when they were kids and not being able to save her was one of his demons. But apparently she was severely wounded but alive. Her aunt ( who was married to some really rich asshole type guy) saved her but not the brother. She spent years in hospitals trying to get better because her bones are really weak. She had to relearn to walk and all. Her bones are still weak. When she got back home her aunts husband abused her , broke her arm. But i think they are both dead now so she has inherited a lot of money and that's how she found out about her brother and tracked him down using a PI . The brother, though really good friends with our hero , sort of warns him off her because she is too delicate or whatever. While they are having celebratory dinner because of her her return our hero gets arrested. Apparently he had had rough almost sex with some barfly and somehow gets accused of viciously beating or killing her. But our heroine gets him off by using CCTV cameras to prove he left much earlier than time of death. This is only the first quarter of the book i think. I don't remember  the rest.

I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with the name. Any help would be really appreciated !

I am trying to remember a title. It's a NA book, and part of a series.

h is a freshman at university. Her roomate is H's sister.
h has a best friend, for whom she has a nickname. H's sister likes h's bf but calls him
with a different name.
When they meet for dinner they realise they were talking about the same person.
H and bf are athletes (football or basketball), and H is immediately taken by h.
h is shy and quiet at first.
IIRC, at the end of the book, they are being drafted and bf kisses sister when he is chosen.
H didn't know sister was crushing on BF

Anyone here a fan or previous fan of Barbara Cartland?

Sad to say, someone stole my book when I stayed over at my aunt's house a few summers ago. If anyone can help me I'd appreciate your help. If I ever get the chance, I will buy the book when it's available.

What I remember is probably the ending. I'm not sure if the hero is a duke but during the times of war, before his father died. His father instead of putting his money in the bank because he knew it would be lost kept the money hidden somewhere. So basically he's poor. In a twist of turns he married the heroine and near the ending, I'm not sure how the heroine figured out where the money was hidden but it was in the bed they were sleeping I think. So they are rich again.

I think the cover has a bed in it. Anway, please help if anyone remembers this one. I'm really pissed about this. And that book belonged to my grandmother which is even older than me.

Hi there,

I am looking for a book that I heard about on PTS quite a while back, the book is about a woman that was in a plane crash.
In the beginning of the book she wakes up at the crash site and walks away, and stumbles into a remote B&B where a small boy helps her check-in, eventually she became his friend.
The boy's mom died before she 'met' him, he was also experiencing some trouble at school and with his dad because he claimed to still see his mothers spirit. His mother promised him that she would search for an arrow shaped rock and give it to him once she found it, this was before she died. At the end of the book the lady wakes up in the hospital from a coma with the arrow shaped rock in her hand and realised that she was never physically at the B&B and that she had an 'out of body experience'. The book ends where she goes to the B&B to tell the boy that she was real and that his mother would like to give him the rock for his collection.

Omg, I think I read this too but too bad I forgot about the title as well. D:

Trying to remember the name of a book.

I know it was part of a series. H and h had been together for a few years, and they were engaged. She had Latin heritage (possibly Colombian). He kind of led a double life, he pretended to be a regular guy and was secretly a billionaire.
Something happened and she finds out about his parents and everything (he had lied about everything, basically). They go to NY (?) and she meets the parents. He has a brother, who has an on-off relationship with his best friend. The best friend is a crazy bi.tch who has a child with brother and tries to pass it off as H's. I remember one part where she told h that her future father-in-law loved spicy food, so h cooked with tons of spice and it was a lie.

Ooh, and he had a dead girlfriend who was physically very similar to h. His sister was hesitant at first, thinking he was using h as a replacement fiancee.

Thanks!

Looking for a Highland Romance I read a few years ago.  I don't remember the names of the H & h.  I don't know if the h was kidnapped by the H or if she was running away, but she goes to live in the H's keep with a guard (I think his name is Jamie) from her families keep. Anyway, this guard is slow or very shy, not sure which, but he is terrified of the dark and closed in places, at one point the H puts him in the dungeon and he goes a bit crazy till the h gets him out.  Anyway, the h is betrothed and she does not like the guy. H & h get busy and h is pregnant when she is taken by the betrothed.  I'm pretty sure the H & h are married by this time.  The guard(Jamie) helps her escape from the bad guy and while on the run back to the H's keep they go to another guy's keep and he lets them stay.  This guy also likes the h (I think she was supposed to be very beautiful), anyway, the betrothed comes to this guys keep looking for her and the for some reason he is let in to search the place.  So the guard (Jamie) and the h hid in a secret room and she goes into labor and delivers the baby in complete silence (that part made me laugh when I read it).  BUT in exchange for hiding her he tells her he wants he for one night, she agrees.  The h and her guard make it back to the H.  The betrothed ends up dying (not sure how). And a few months later she sneaks out of the house to "visit" the other guy to pay him back for saving her and the baby.  They never do anything though...I don't recall what else happens.

So any idea what the name of this book is called?

Finally found the book!!

Hannah Howell - Reckless

this is the 3rd book in the Highland Brides Series the other books are:
1. His Bonnie Bride aka Amber Flame
2. Promised Passion aka Highland Wedding
3. Reckless

Hi there....this is my first time trying to track down a book like this...I don't remember much so any help is greatly appreciated...
It is Adult/Erotic novel... the heroine wants to try BDSM and find a don on line...he sends a contract, she agrees and she finances them meeting in las vegas (I believe)... the last scene I remember is her being told to handcuff herself and wait for someone to show up....I know not much to go on but I am hoping it rings bells for someone.
