Hi everyone, this one is driving me crazy because I REALLY want to read it
So its a historical romance about this girl who is a pirate (?) and she comes to London to talk to some lawyers about her inheritance. She needs a chaperone and picks up an old lady and makes her look presentable- at the end of the novel it turns out she is actually an upper class women who used to live in a plantation farm (?) and come back to London but was robbed. Also, so she goes to the lawyers office and they say that for her to inherate she needs to be married, and pregnant (?). At the same time a guy from London also visits the same law office about his inheritance, and they say that his grandfather (?) said that in order for him to inherate he must be married and with a baby on the way (?), or it could be that he needed someone with an inheritance... (SORRY). Anyways, she starts hosting possible bachelors to marry, and he courts her and there is this whole intrege about one of the other guys courting her and the chaperone lady she picks up. In the end she marries the guy from the law office and they live happily ever after.
Oh yeah, I remember a really cute scene where she wants to apologize to him and get him to marry her after a bunch of stuff happens and so she ties him up on an island and when he wakes up they proceed to make love :)

Sorry thats all I can remember, I hope you guys know what its called

I don't know if anyone has replied, but I think it's Lady Pirate by Lynsay Sands :)

Eeep forgot to add that this is a Regency Romance book and both main characters are of the Ton think the lead male is at least a Viscount.

I have another book I forgot the title or author to. Would love some help if someone recognises this description.

A young lady about 18 goes to the home of a gentleman in order to talk him out of offering marriage to her older sister. She tells him that her sister is already in love with another but because her sister is a dutiful daughter she will throw away her happiness and marry him at their parents request.  She offers instead, for him to not marry her sister who finds the gentleman a bit intimidating, to marry her the younger sister. The gentleman of course is a peer and older about 30 to 35 i think and he at first is against this idea but she eventually talks him around to the idea.  Later on in the story she has a confrontation with a tradesman when the man attempts to abuse a dog. She stands up for the dog and is nearly hit by the man.  After this a constable gets involved and her sanity is questioned an she blurts out that she is the gentleman's fiancé and they end up going to see the gentleman for him to verify her identity. She ends up giving him the dog and the dog becomes attached to him.

I know this is alot of details but i thought the specifics might make it remember-able to someone.
Also the person her older sister is in love with is the vicar in their home town.
Did you ever find this book?  I know I have read it but now it's bothering me because I wonder what it is.

Help, help, help looking for a book about a girl who convinces her friend to take her place overseas as an assistant to a sheik. Her friend tells her to lie and use her name but the girl says no and tells the truth. The sheik likes her for telling the truth. For some reason someone tries to kill him. They get trapped I think during a sandstorm in the desert. They talk and he tells her how he had been abducted and beat. They fall in love. They find out his uncle is the one trying to kill him.

I thought it was written by Linda Howard. But I can not find it.

Thank you for any help.

I think it might be this one: Lord of the Desert by Diana Palmer

Sheltered small-town girl Gretchen Brannon was out of her element when she aligned herself with Sheikh Philippe Sabon, the formidable ruler of Qawi. They came from different worlds, yet she found a soul mate in the powerful, sensual man who’d suppressed his passions for far too long—and harbored a secret anguish. Nevertheless, he made the virtuous young woman aware of her own courage…and, in turn, she aroused his sleeping senses as no other woman could. However, now that Gretchen’s heart belonged to the Lord of the Desert, danger loomed when she became the target for vengeance by the sheikh’s most diabolical enemy. In a final showdown that would pit good against evil, could love and destiny triumph…?

Maggie (from a previous book) had accepted the position but then, her stepbrother Cord got injured, so Gretchen went in her place to Qawi.

Hi,

I'm looking for a book title. I read the story a couple of years ago (2005 or 2006) but I'll try to remember as much as I can.
The book is a historical romance. It begins when the the heroine's house is under attack and the hero saves her but but she doesnt realize that and she hits him on the head with her brooch which leaves a scar. The villian that attacked her house is the hero's uncle.
After some time they meet at the Kings palace and she protects him by not telling the judge he was there when her house was attacked.
The hero's mom  tries to separate them and try to get them killed them at various points through out the book. The hero is either from Scotland or Ireland and the heroine is from England. The hero's sister marries the best friend but the uncle kills her. The hero's father was killed by the mom, uncle and a guy disguised as a monk.
I hope it sounds familiar to someone. The story was really good. Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

I am looking for a book that I heard about on PTS quite a while back, the book is about a woman that was in a plane crash.
In the beginning of the book she wakes up at the crash site and walks away, and stumbles into a remote B&B where a small boy helps her check-in, eventually she became his friend.
The boy's mom died before she 'met' him, he was also experiencing some trouble at school and with his dad because he claimed to still see his mothers spirit. His mother promised him that she would search for an arrow shaped rock and give it to him once she found it, this was before she died. At the end of the book the lady wakes up in the hospital from a coma with the arrow shaped rock in her hand and realised that she was never physically at the B&B and that she had an 'out of body experience'. The book ends where she goes to the B&B to tell the boy that she was real and that his mother would like to give him the rock for his collection.

I think this book is a menage.

The heroine first met hero 1 in the States. She broke up with her boyfriend (I think he cheated on her). She was lonely and had a one night stand with hero 1. The hero is an Australian. After that night she left quickly because she was confused of her feelings since she felt something for the guy which weirded/ freak her out. The guy never forgot her. I think he was a fireman. Then a few months later she transferred to Australia and well fate let them meet again. Both were shock but deep inside they were happy. The heroine explained her reason to hero 1. At the same time, hero 1 has a cousin who's a British archaeology I think. He (hero 2) calls his cousin convict. The story of hero was that when he was in Egypt I think he had a relationship with a student and she was a virgin. The girl threatened him and told him that he needs to marry her or else. The girl's father was an acquaintance of his that's why he left his job and visited his cousin I think. And then  I know that cousin was attracted to the heroine as well but he knows he's the girl that his cousin (hero 1) couldn't forget about. I haven't read the whole story but the girl was attracted to both of them.

Please help!

Looking for a Highland Romance I read a few years ago.  I don't remember the names of the H & h.  I don't know if the h was kidnapped by the H or if she was running away, but she goes to live in the H's keep with a guard (I think his name is Jamie) from her families keep. Anyway, this guard is slow or very shy, not sure which, but he is terrified of the dark and closed in places, at one point the H puts him in the dungeon and he goes a bit crazy till the h gets him out.  Anyway, the h is betrothed and she does not like the guy. H & h get busy and h is pregnant when she is taken by the betrothed.  I'm pretty sure the H & h are married by this time.  The guard(Jamie) helps her escape from the bad guy and while on the run back to the H's keep they go to another guy's keep and he lets them stay.  This guy also likes the h (I think she was supposed to be very beautiful), anyway, the betrothed comes to this guys keep looking for her and the for some reason he is let in to search the place.  So the guard (Jamie) and the h hid in a secret room and she goes into labor and delivers the baby in complete silence (that part made me laugh when I read it).  BUT in exchange for hiding her he tells her he wants he for one night, she agrees.  The h and her guard make it back to the H.  The betrothed ends up dying (not sure how). And a few months later she sneaks out of the house to "visit" the other guy to pay him back for saving her and the baby.  They never do anything though...I don't recall what else happens.

So any idea what the name of this book is called?

Trying to remember the name of a book.

I know it was part of a series. H and h had been together for a few years, and they were engaged. She had Latin heritage (possibly Colombian). He kind of led a double life, he pretended to be a regular guy and was secretly a billionaire.
Something happened and she finds out about his parents and everything (he had lied about everything, basically). They go to NY (?) and she meets the parents. He has a brother, who has an on-off relationship with his best friend. The best friend is a crazy bi.tch who has a child with brother and tries to pass it off as H's. I remember one part where she told h that her future father-in-law loved spicy food, so h cooked with tons of spice and it was a lie.

Ooh, and he had a dead girlfriend who was physically very similar to h. His sister was hesitant at first, thinking he was using h as a replacement fiancee.

Thanks!

I have never read this ebook, only read a couple of pages on the preview at amazon.

This was NA Paranormal Vampire, published in late 2014 early 2015

From what I read there was this college girl maybe sophomore year who needed a job so she went to this job bulletin board. While looking there she notices a guy and the guy tells her about his great job that she needs to get on board with. She finds out his is a recruiter for that job. The next day she goes there and finds it a little weird that there is no interview only blood sample.

That's about it sorry I don't have anymore information.
