Favorite novel to movie/TV series adaptations
« on: May 31, 2012, 12:21 AM »
Hi guys!  :)
Since one of Hollywood's favorite things to do right now is to adapt popular novels into movies or TV series. I thought it would be good idea to ask what your favorite novel to movie/ TV series adaptations are. It can be Ya/ fiction/ fantasy / romance etc..
I'd also like to know what upcoming novel adaptation are you excited about.
Which novel/novel series you want to be made into a movie or TV series.
Which actor/actress you want to portray the characters.
Which is your least favorite novel adaptation.

You could have more than one favorite or least favorite.

If people say they just love the smell of books, I always want to pull them aside and ask, To be clear, do you know how reading works?

Butch has often been... a little sensitive when things like sex toys are brought in conversatio.
Have you checked this out yet?

I went and saw it earlier and yeah it was good (not awesome like Harry Potter just good lol) but I feel like fans of the book are going to like it so much more then people who haven't read it. Just because (like that review said) it kinda jumps around. So people who have read the book can fill in the blanks while people who haven't might be lost. They tried to jam the whole book into the movie which to me made it feel super rushed. It also gets pretty cheesy on some lines which the book pulled off way better. I think the actors were great they fit for me they just needed to slow it down a bit.
I really loved the scenes between Rose and Dimitri. Soooo cute  ^-^

I found the books boring but since Disney is adapting it, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.  :)

Seen the movie at the theater... Just a 2 stars for me. And I freakin' love the books. So yeah, this is the book to movie adaptation I wouldn't want to watch again in the big screen.
