Hi.  Lazy bum here, so I'm just copying and pasting what I posted on the other "Introduce Yourself" thread.

After being recommended to check this site out more than a few times in the past year, I decided to put on my big girl panties, get off my lazy ass and check this place out.  I've already spent more time than I probably should have trying to pick a gif to upload as an avatar, but that's how crazy and OCD I get.

I love to read and my tastes run far and wide from non-fiction to romance to graphic novels as well as fan fiction.  From what I've seen so far, everyone here seems friendly and personable, so I'm going to take a triple twisting double back somersault dive* in and see what treasures I can discover.   Excited to meet you all.

*disclaimer: this poster knows absolutely nothing about diving other than the men wear itty bitty speedos and have drool worthy bodies.

Lol I can already tell how awesome you are you are going to fit right in So glad you signed up for PTS. Welcome to our crazy family.

my official line is:

(and I'm thinking "Oh God, not another crazy"

Bah you know you love the crazies on here

Aww. Thanks

Crazy?!

Is this being a little too melodramatic?

Oh dear.  I don't think you realize what you've started but this is just a glimpse.

Hi I'm Aska and I really love the books...Newbie here, a  very nice friend recommended that I should be here so here I'm

Who recommended you
it wasn't me - shaggy

Well she's a good friend, she has a good hart , she's a an angel

Hey, I posted int he introduction thread but throught I'd say hello here. I'm having one of those really frustrating book weeks where I just can't seem to get INTO anything... You know, where the book carries you away and keeps you up way past your bed time. Everything I try to read feels labourious, even if they're good books. I get pages an and just go "nup"... Ugh!

I think the last series that carried me away was the 'Special's' series by Scott Westerfeld.
Before that, one that REALLY had me (and hanging out for each new installment) was Hugh Howey's 'Wool' series.

I like a wide range of genres, but teen fiction (or non-fiction) really seems to click the best. Maybe it says something about my attention span?! Maybe it just indicates how much I dislike romances :p

Wish me luck with my search tonight!

Hi! Became a member as of yesterday! I should be working right now but hiding out in my office because I'd reather be talking books or reading.
As I stated in my main intro-- I love a great story but lately I'm all about fantasy & supernatural books.Love the twilight series (actually obsessed with it, don't judge) but also enjoy the following book series: Dresden Files, Black Dagger Brotherhood & the Dark Hunter series to name a few.
Received a series recommendation yesterday, thank you  , Gena Showalter LOTU and my nook is now set with book #1, as of about an hour ago!
