Yep.  *nods head*  The funny thing is, I keep going back and trying thinking that I must be missing something. 

Without naming fics, there's one that's been published and everyone talks about that I've yet to finish.  Every now and then I'll go back and read a few more chapters before giving up again.  It doesn't have a lot of lemons and is well written, just too slow for me.  Another (with a snarky Bella and good lemons, LOL) that I'd heard so much about I managed to finish, but it drove me nuts because the writing was so full of errors.  I stuck with it because the plot was seriously awesome, but OMG get a beta!!!!

Ohhh, now I'm curious  spelling mistakes make me bounce a fic. I can take one, but that's it. I try, believe me but I can't do it 

I have never flounced a rec, but this one is widely popular and I just can't finish it  I've tried twice and I'm getting the same result. Not quite sure why I thought it would be different

I'm an E/B reader. I've tried Bella and Jacob/ Bella and Jasper but I'm only a fan if Edward is in them. I can start off non canon but would like it to end with E/B

I think you have to be in the mood for a story like that.  I think the age of the writer and the story line made the story great for me.  But I can see if that particular genre was not my thing, I would flounce too.  EP is best though!  IMHO

I'm with Tami - lemons for the sake of lemons will make me flounce unless I'm really in the mood. Without a good story I'm gone.  I actually prefer a little UST. I'm strange like that.

I don't generally flounce stories that I've found interesting.  My OCD won't let me quit.  If they start to annoy or bore me, then I skim.  I will admit to not being crazy about a couple of stories that come highly recommended.  They were good for a while, but the author didn't know when to quit.  These include Man Who Can't Be Moved, Retail Therapy and Help Wanted.  Mind you, I did enjoy them until about chapter 40-50.  Then they became repetitive and contrived.  So I skim to complete.
