I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me find a story... I'm not sure of the name or the author because it's been awhile since I read it. I originally read in on ff.net and it was completed but I can't seem to find it anywhere on there anymore. If someone had a PDF or knew where I could find it on the internet I would greatly appreciate it!!!!

EdwardxBella: Set back in the 1800s. From what I remember Edward is an outcast in the town and rarely comes into town, mostly stays on his farm. No one in the town likes Edward because his mother was Native American. While in town one day he joins a poker game with Charlie and Jake. Charlie doesn't have money to pay his bets so he offers Bella to the winner. Edward wins and takes Bella back to his farm. At first she hates it but hates Charlie more for betting her away. Over time they fall in love but Charlie and Jack try to take her back.

I know it's not a lot to go on but if someone knows what it is please let me know. Thanks!!!!

I believe what you're looking for is Pistols and Petticoats by saltire884. Attaching an ePub... it's the only format I pull. I'm pretty sure it's up on adifferentforect.com. You can pull a different format with flagfic.

This is my first time replying on here-even though I must admit I've spent a fair amount of time lurking and loving all the wonderful fanfic recs. This is honestly the best site. I'm hoping that all of you awesome people will be able to track down a fic for me....it's been nagging at me for so long, I'm talking years, and I made the mistake of never saving it. Here goes nothing!
Bella and Edward are long time friends, in high school.
She has serious feelings for him and has been recently lashing out at him bc of her sadness about loving him.
He gets a new girlfriend (Tanya? Rosalie? Jessica) I think Tanya.
At the beginning of the fic Edward is upset about something his new gf did (I think) and Bella meanly sings "She f****n hates me" to him.
In one scene she tells him how she feels and they proceed to make out on his bed until Esme walks in and is disapproving.
There's also (maybe) a scene where B waits in the car while E makes up with his new gf in Port Angeles, I think it's raining and Bella might cry?
It's been so long my memory is fuzzy, so the details might be incorrect. I would love to hear any ideas of what it could be regardless of how similar they are to my description.

Thank you both for answering, I flounced! I just can't stand it. It's one thing to have her raped or abused but to have her both it's too much too broken almost to irreparable. I just don't get it I understand the concept of wanted to convey a broken character and trying to rebuild them but having so many forms of abuse happen to one character seems too much. Thanks again for all your help.

i had the same problem with another fic, recently completed. so much tragedy happened to bella, over and over and over and over, and she was able to forgive everyone and not resent the rape baby. which im not sure that is possible. hopefully i'll never be able to find out. but how not to associate the child to how it was conceived? i know the child is innocent, but yeah, i cant see that happening.
Im not a very forgiving person to begin with so maybe that is the problem.

(I still won't read Rape too many times an author, who has no experience with it, can not truly convey the the terrors, recovery, etc of Rape) plus most of the time it's written in a way that makes it look like Regret=Rape and that is not the case..

I'm not ready to quit ff yet. I really love this author stories, but this last one I read left a bitter taste in my mouth. I kept thinking that maybe if I was Bella I would be to close to a suicide attempt, you know? And I read the last chapter before reading the whole thing, since it was classified as a tragedy. There was a hea.
I don't like reading about rape, and it doesn't make sense that I can tolerate rape but not cheating, I'm weird. In this fic I keep thinking, not only she was raped but she also gets pregnant? Not to mention all the other shit she already had to deal with. Too much.

Just agree a person can take so much I do think that some authors need to not portrait a so forgiven Bella. Yes people are capable of withstanding a certain amount of pain but we all have tolarance levels

And there are some fics where just too many things happen. It's like the author is just writing angst for the sake of angst. I agree with Tami - if you break someone too much, there's just no fixing them and forgiving again and again is just too unrealistic...

Yeah I agree I mean there is so much a person can withstand and I agree people who get threw in both physical abuse as well as rape and she still forgives I mean it isn't even believable. She has a right to not forgive and still be pissed.
