When uploading a story it would be like this: UL The ABC story by author123
For Links, it would be: Link DurtyNelly blog
Requests for stories: REQ The ABC story by author123

Are you looking for a specific fic? In the upper right hand corner is a search box with a drop down menu Type in your search criteria and you will probably find it's already been uploaded if not feel free to ask.

If you have a summary you can share that would be appreciated as well.

Thanks are always appreciated. It's two clicks 1 to download the story 1 to click on the thank you button. It's the least we can do for the hard work people put in to finding and sharing with us!

Enjoy

Ummmm, silly quesiton...

Has anyone ever flounced a fic because of a pre reader that is mentioned in the A/N?

~No, no. I'm laughing at you not with you~

By pre-reader do you mean someone that has read all the chapters before they were posted?  And did you flounce because you do not like the pre-reader personally, or because there are so many errors you can't actually believe that someone else read it and allowed it to be posted like that?

I've never flounced because of a pre-reader mentioned in the A/N, but to be completely honest I rarely (if ever) read A/Ns .  I don't read WIPS so by the time I'm reading the completed story, the A/Ns are often irrelevant...

I don't usually read A/N's either but I saw it at the end of the chapter and got pissed  >:(

I loathe one of the pre readers and the first chapter wasn't written that well either. I was going to continue thinking that the author would get better, alas, saw the name and clicked the little 'x'

That's weird, right? :-\

I am with you there. I haven't ever done that either, and I usually only read completed works. I got tired of getting part way through a good fic, and then the author puts it on hiatus. Hear, Hear for the completed works out there.

I am working on my first ever fanfic and I am not going to start posting until it is complete.

Nope, I don't find that weird at all.  I've flounced for a wide variety of reasons.  Even some highly rec'd fics.  And I've been hugely disappointed by some of the published fics.  On the flip side, I've found some real hidden gems, too :)

I actually flounced a fic (eons ago when I actually read WIPs) because the author wouldn't update until they got a certain number of reviews.  It was basically shameless begging.  I review a lot.  I definitely give authors my thanks and I respect what they do - but I generally don't review after every single chapter and I don't like feeling 'forced' into reviewing...

If no one has claimed pages 226-end I will just go ahead and finish this up.  The last fifty pages was during ff purge, authors leaving, boycotts, etc.

Have a good night!

Same here, i hardly read A/N bec i only read complete fics. The only times i read them is for their recs or if ithe fic was by one of my fave authors.

I also don't flounce bec of typos/errors, i have a very high tolerance level for those, specially if i like the story. Writing is hard so i am in awe of those who do it and try to appreciate their work.  ;)

I agree with the "forced" reviewing. I very rarely review now because of BS authors that do this :(

I happened to come across this fic, thought it would be ok to read while I wait for some of faves to update. There are only a few stories that I read which are WIP's but this is because I know they update regularly ie: once or twice a week.
Any longer than this, I can't do it.

I have a high tolerance for typos/errors as well I can read a fic that I really like despite those. I agree, it takes balls to post but this was different. My pure hatred for the pre reader put sour taste for the fic from the get go. I can't get past it :( Kinda makes me sad.

I'm still waiting for Limona to finish Hiding in Plain sight, and Enthralled to finish Sacrifices (that one is virtually finished - all but the final HEA - and you can see how its going to end, so I don't really feel bad about it where it is

Oh, that is enough to turn me off too!   I hate when a writer holds a story hostage!   The only way I would read something that had those kinds of warnings is if it was already marked COMPLETE when I found it - and then I wouldn't review it anyway!   I remember when things first started disappearing (P2P) and several authors did this with their WIP expecting us to go buy the book to get the ending!    >:( ??? :-\
